January Figure Collection Time Trash Bag Bunch

January Figure Collection Time, I have finally got a chance to share figures from the collection. Every time I plan on doing an article breaking figure news comes up. We will start off with the three Trash Can Bunch figures I picked up last month. Next, we have various figures you should find interesting.

January Figure Collection Time Trash Bag Bunch

January Figure Collection Time Trash Bg
At the last flea market of 2018, I acquire three different Trash Bag Bunch figures. They are from left to right the following Professor Garboff, Junker Werewolf, and Stink Buzzard. I think they are fun figures and will pick up other ones if they are reasonably priced. I just saw someone is trying to get $26’63 for Junker Werewolf. Yet, in the next listing, they had the werewolf with three other figures for $9.99.

Soldier Figures

Soldiers
Starting this section off we have two soldiers. The first one is a modern British with a Sten Gun. The other figure I found on the floor of the camera room. I don’t remember to bring him down from the collection.
Timmee Copy
I found in the collection a copy of the Timmee army officer. The figure copy is downsized and done blue. The other figure us one that has been copied well.
kneeling soldier
Here we have the Timmee army sniper with a base. I checked Kent Sprecher’s site Toy Soldier Headquarters did not see any other figures with the base his Timmee military site. So I am not sure who made them.

One More Set of Figures

Starlux Preist
Finally, we have these two Starlux priests. I kept the one on the right as I do not know if it is an early paint version or not. What are your thoughts?

  1. The blue GI copy of a Tim-Mee pose was made by DEL (DELL) of Brooklyn NY. They also made the figures in dark green. Also about 1964/65 when Tim-Mee made the elusive WWII Russians they redid two of their US figure molds, the Air Force and Army figures molds. The new Air Force mold (sold as a Marine Air Group) was made in tan and then red & gray and two poses were not included (Looking up with binoculars and holding rocket/bomb). The new army man mold had the radio man and kneeling sniper both getting bases. Not sure why I don’t have a picture of them at my website, but I will add one.

British on green para is by REVELL from the 1/35 scale 10 poses set.
The cloned Chinese bad quality is base in Airfix British commando advancing pose with add on generic helmet .
The variation pose come in late 80s first from HK and then after repeated in wasted copes all over
    Best.

There’s a “Weirdo Revival” on eBay!! A Florida Bottom Feeder has a resin Austin Miniature listed as:
“Austin~TSSD or Conte resin prototype Cowboy 1-o-a-kind~54mm Barzso Marx size” for $21.78.
I LOVE the “one of a kind” designation.
As far as eBay goes: CAVEAT EMPTOR!!!!! for sure. eBay does NOTHING to police this stuff. I’m at the point where I automatically reject EVERYTHING from certain sellers and will ONLY buy from certain others. Some are GUARANTEED TROUBLE!!

Yes, you have to be so careful when buying. I shake my head on some of the listings. To me, the Trash Bag Bunch figures are $2.00 per figure.

I’ve bought items from the dealer you are talking about and I don’t think he is doing that out of any desire to rip people off. He just does not know what that figure is. I have bought some nice figures from him at decent prices. He breaks up sets like Chintoys, Ex Force etc. so you can sample the figures and only get what you want. Just got two 60mm Atlantic Russian Revolution figures I wanted for decades from him for only 15 bucks plus shipping. He’s not a bottom feeder at all.

    Hello Paul,
your paratrooper Tommy is a Revell (see forum: http://soldatplastique-1-32.forumgratuit.org/t4899-revell-les-parachutistes-britanniques-wwii)
The Starlux monk on the right with crappy paint is probably an Eco (made in France but saddly painted in Germany).
Don’t hesitate to ask to the forum.
Happy new year by the way.
    Best from France

Good wishes and Happy New Year to you as well.
I like to post figures here to share with my readers.
I have to do more on your site, I have so many projects right now.
It is amazing how much I have forgotten over the years on figures. I have not seen Revell figures in a long while until Markus sent me the pioneers and I sold them back in the list days.

I think there are several of us in the same boat. I try to keep an inventory of my collection – but it gets more difficult.

Those Starlux monks are lovely would love to see someone do a full set of monks out in fields working, praying and fighting poses for medieval times.

  6. Tom Black says:

Maybe Mathias knows this, what is the status of the Starlux Molds? It would be nice to get soft plastic reissues of certain sets. The Medieval Court and Monk and other Medievals should sell? I also like the Starlux Commando and Paratrooper sets but they go for outrageous prices on EBay.
Also now that Jeff Imel owns the Timmee molds what is the Status of the Russian mold?

    • admin says:

      Tom
The last I heard the molds were bought by a person was going to run them in metal.
As to the Timmee Russian mold. it was in Mexico in the ’90s but the company went out business and the Timmee molds have disappeared. They also had the pirate, circus, and early army mold.

      • Tom Black says:

Thanks for the info Stad! Too bad the new owner of Starlux wants to do metal. The new type plastics they use now would be a big improvement on the hard plastic that Starlux used.

        • Mark T. says:

I’d love to see Starlux in a nice soft plastic. The hard plastic original ones I have give off the weirdest smell. I heard somewhere that it was some kind of plant cellulose-based plastic.

          • ERWIN F SELL says:

I own plenty Starlux old and last production
            Nothing wrong w plastic.
The type used was the more common used by most French maker.
Stiff hard plastic that with time varied to a less stiff.
They can brake easy if high fall or bend but plastic material itself is not fragile or crack and or crumble with time as happen with many British brands soft plastic figures. Or become odd sticky as dome of space figures of Britain.
As far my Starlux have not bad odor either and paint is very good quality.
            My thoughts.
            Best

          • AJ says:

My hard and soft Starlux figures are fine. No “weird smell” at all. They smell like plastic.

          • admin says:

I have no smell from my Starlux figures. The only figures I get is Beton.
