No Name Samurai Figures figures
Andrey Buslov has sent me photos of the new No Name Samurai figures. The set has seven different foot figures. The samurai were military nobility and officer caste that was most relevant in Japan’s medieval period.

These figures should be based on metal figures.that was made in Russia.
Three figure s
All three figures here have geki which is a two-prong spear. Each figure has a long sword known as katana. The poses are follows
1. Standing with geki in the right-hand left hand is on the katana hilt.
2. The middle figure is drawing his katana with his right hand while his left hand holds the geki.
3. The samurai has geki on his right side being held by both his hands in a defensive pose. The figure is a bowman as he has a quiver of arrows on his back.
two more poses
The samurai on the left is holding a spear in his right hand. Under his left arm is very likely an early firearm. The other samurai is holding his early rifle at his waist.
Last two poses
The final two poses of the samurai are as follows: standing with geki in the right-hand and with his katana out in his left-hand. The other pose has the geki across his body. Also, his right foot is slightly raised.
Closeup of one of the figures
Here we see a nice closeup of one of the figures. The detail is excellent. He is the only one wearing the flag on his bag. Unlike Engineer Basevitch and Publius, No Name figures are only $14.90 plus shipping of $10.00 from Russia. You can order them here.

Nice looking figures.Remain Me of premiums Kellogg 40 mm metal samurai many sets made and copies sold by others
Too bad so much poses and almost none in action or way too passive.
“No name” uses metal cast pises figures and had made some variation in previews set versus metal poses copied in order give the more battle action poses.
Here in this sets they not and proximity of arms to body made then difficult to variation or conversion in easy way unless deep work.
    price is far more acceptable.
I will get one set but not more unfortunately.
Still because detail and price are worth the purchase and I will to support x hobby .
Hope they do other or ninja as well chinese or mongol, much more prefered in more action poses please.
    my thought
    bwst

I totally agree with you Erwin, Its nice to see a New set of Samurai figures hit the market and the figures have good detail, But i’m really dissapointed in the poses. I like action poses as a rule with perhaps 1 passive/Boring pose, But here there is only 1 action pose or possibly 2 so not sure if i will get these or not. If they come out with another set of Action posed Samurai i will definately get a set, And yes it would be Great to see some sets of Ancient Chinese Mongols Egyptians Etc in action poses mostly please. By the way does anyone know what scale these figures are?

    • ERWIN F SELL says:

“No name”maker brand is your max high range Darren (62 mm ),i think you had buy then before or some sets from it .Generally they blend with most Conte ,Chintoy ,Biplant ,DGN -Chinese and 57/62 mm figures easy .
      best

  3. Darren Hatley says:

Thanks for the info Erwin, Yeah they probably just fit into my preferred scale range. To be honest mate i can only remember buying a few sets of the Orcs figures they produced a couple of years ago which were about 50mm. I will have a look but i dont think i have any other No Name figures?

    • ERWIN F SELL says:

I don’t think they did orcs..
They done several medieval and ancient sets

      • ERWIN F SELL says:

        Sorry ,you right Darren.
It is they happen to be discontinued right away after release .
And yes they are far smaller as you say plus in clear non apparent clone style from metal figurines as the obscure NO NAME makers does with rest sets .Is only set made in that scale by then as rest of NN are in the 58/62 mm range max usually
those orcs looks to me very alike base or alike style of the never release BB brand fantasy set from 2014 that I announce here after seen in NYC fare and took photos of sets
here is post of NO NAME ORCS mention.

  4. Darren Hatley says:

Yeah that’s ok Erwin, I brought 3 sets of the Orcs about 3 or 4 years ago and i was sure they were No Name figures, But when you said they weren’t it did get me thinking because you know your stuff. I havent’ seen any for sale for a long time and they must be quite rare now.
I have 1 of those Kinder Samurai, Ive had him for years and cant remember where i got him. Yeah nice figures but again in boring poses.

  5. ERWIN F SELL says:

Here are the “The no Name” samurai that are cloned from tin made figures in 2015/16
here are they been sold from model toy store from Ukraine.

Too bad they waste such a set in not action poses ,they could have revised the poses and made then more cation.

  6. Jeremy says:

    Hi Folks,

I picked this set up two in fact and look forward to painting them.

Can anyone advise me where I might find some 1/32 feudal Japanese peasants or civilians? Also, Russian civilians from the 1940’s? I am running two table top role playing games with them and could use your feedback. Cheers!
