“The figures will be made of pliable resin.” What is pliable vs. the more rigid type? Have had bad experiences with resin breaking – even when just sitting in cabinet and not being dropped, etc. Is regular soft plastic too expensive to use?

At the moment I have no idea what pliable resin. I will wait until I have the actual figures in my hands. TSSD has stated that each figure mold for injected plastic cost $10,000.00. So accordingly it would cost TSSD $40,000.00 to do their four figure set.

And yet TSSD did exactly that when it released it’s 4-figure Wyatt Earp set in injection molded plastic, and are currently running injection molded plastic on their 4-6 figure Clanton gang, as well as 4 new Roman poses and 4 new Barbarian poses scheduled no later than OTSN —- all in injection molded plastic.

I do not want to speculated why some figures are in pliable resin and other figures are injected plastic. You would have to ask TSSD.

$10,000 per mold per figure + cost of materials + labor + packaging + advertizing + shipping + trying to make a profit = a lot of “lettuce”!!!!!

Injected 1/32 scale plastic figures are expensive to make. The problem is the collector market is very limited. When I sold new 1/32 scale figures I sold usually one box or bag of a new figures to a person. On 1/72 scale boxes I would sell several boxes. The only company that has a handle on this is Replicants.
