Odds Ends April 226: Collection Time, as we start the month, I got a chance to go through the collection. I found a few items to share.
Odds Ends April 2026 Items from My Collection

I find it interesting what I have picked up over the years. For myself, I picked up a figure for my collection because I like the pose. It goes back to when I did stories with my figures. The figure on the right is from Solido. I will use him in a medical setup I have planned. The samurai, I have no idea where he is from. The pirate skeleton, I love the pose with the beer.

After doing the above photo, I discovered I have the other figures he is from.
When I see the Cherilea Napoleonic Lifeguard, or in this case, the reissue, I think of my late friend Glen Smith. Glen and I were at the Plastic Warrior Show. For Glen, it was his first time over where he planned to get various English plastic figures for his collection. One of the figures he wanted for years was the Cherilea Napoleonic Lifeguard. He found it and showed it to me. Just another friend, Peter Evans, showed up. Peter handed Glen a dozen Cherilea Napoleonic Lifeguard figures. Glen was dumbfounded.

New additions to the collection are these four figures. They are based on the Pirates of the Caribbean. Right now, I do not know if they are authorized or not.

I may have picked this bag up at a trade show. These figures were made for a company called Christian Soldiers. The figures represent Philistine soldiers. I find it funny that the names they used for the figures. Phil, really original.

Here is a better look at the figures. I looked up the limited address of the figures and found that the company was no longer at that location. I am curious what the other figure looked like and if they ever got out.

Happy Easter .
The figures are interesting. I have been looking for the samurai, as the samurai and Asian figures are the last part of my collection. What scale are the ancient biblical figures? I recall that Rainfall company produced large 3-inch figures as well as a 54 mm David and Goliath playset with 6 poses. I have posted some of these, although not the ones you have shown here; these are new to me. It is noteworthy that the brand name seems unusual, considering that these figures represent pre-Christian history
The biblical figures are 60mm. The samurai figure maybe from a group of figures that were sold at the British Museum years ago.
Thank you for replying with scale on ancient nice figures .Now you mention the samuari ,i think it was posted in PW issue years ago .
Someone on eBay has an incomplete set of Marx Skyscraper figures in grey plastic.
Have you seen it hem in this color before?
