Michael Smith’s Photos: German Plastic Show. Here are photos from my friend Michael Smith. Michael, along with another friend from the UK, Charlie Barnett, did the show.
Michael Smith’s Photos: German Plastic Show Report

I started again with Michael Smith’s stand. Michael said he had a good show.

Looking at one of the rows of the show.

Charlie standing in front of Michael’s table.

This is one of Peter Berrgner’s bins. He was selling Linde Western at 3 Euros each ($3.48).

Some more tables for collectors.

These collectors are going through Bergner’s bins for 1/72 scale figures. Peter sells the 1/72 scale figures by the kilo.

Lots of figures to look through.

In my previous post, I showed the various Timpo train sets. You can see that this dealer had many other Timpo box sets.

I believe this is Axel Sohinus’s table.

A close-up of Bergner’s 1/72 scale bins.

A collector looking through one of Bergner’s bins.

This is another look at the Apache and cavalry we will be showcasing soon.

Lots of figures to look at, including Starlux and Elastolin.

More figures to look at, I wonder what treasures were found.\

Marx Civil War figures sadly, they were damaged.

I wonder what figures you would select from this mass of Timpo knights.

The Timpo Roman centurions that are in this photo may be fakes. I have to check.

Elastolin castle for purchase.

A nice mix of figures from various companies.

Various figures of Timpo and Britains Deetail.

Britains Deetail knights and Turks.

Another fun table to look through. This is the fun of going to a show, as you get to find small treasures for your collection.

An interesting castle, which I will find out the scale of.

This would have been an interesting table to go through. I wonder what items I would have found.
It looks to me that European shows have increased in variety and dealers while US is way downplayed and in decline.
very interested in the maker, price and scale of the large castle
The castle was custom built by a fellow collector and real enthusiast.
About real 1:24 to 1:32nd scale for figures from 54 (60) to 70 mm.
Built as shown in Nibelung movie

movie pics and collector stickers shown in the back.
Impressive display and unique item not for sale
Very colorful figures not often seen on this side of the Atlantic…but I must dispute Erwin’s comment of US Shows being down…at least here in the Midwest, I set up at a 500 table train and vintage toy show in Toledo early this month that had 2,500 attendees. Then this past weekend we had the big Midwest Toy Soldier Show in Lafayette, IND and sold all 65 tables + 3 days of room trading, with brisk sales each day. The Xenia, Ohio vintage Toy Show this weekend will fill 6 buildings at the county fairgrounds. Looking forward to the Gettysburg Show on April 19, I have no doubt it will be sold out.
I am referring to the toy soldiers show specifically .
Definitely reduced and plenty not longer made in the US in last years along with far less toy soldiers makers and dealers around .
We can have different opinions of course.
