We all know who and when were done. I do who have the old ones from my childhood and collect many other in all colors done plus some recast. Now I have curiosities that haunt me for years. From where they were taking from; from a comic, movie, TV series or what!?.Specially the robot guy. Could someone give me the right information that let me to right picture, movie or TV version please?

    Hi
To me the spacemen always looked like the illustrations to the ‘Tom Corbett, Space Cadet’ series of books.
The Robot I really don’t know.

If you goggle Tom Corbett Space Cadet you will see videos of the show. Also look at Destination Moon by George Pal. The 45mm figures of Tom Corbett and Space Patrol are accurate copies of the their respective shows. The 60mm Robot reminded me of Ready Kilowatt A logo for the electric industry.

Along these lines, in the 90s, I picked up a two figure set from Wal Mart of 12inch spacemen decked out in the great 50s, early 60s looking red and blue space suits, big color coordinated “fishbowl” helmets, “accordion” joints, some accessories. About G.I. Joe quality for $20

  3. these figures are70mm not 60mm

Thank you Kent for the input; still like any other Marx and else figures, none is exactly the same as in this case the robot is true 70 mm but three of the standing poses on this set range from 64 mm to 68 mm..so not so quite 70 mm as only 3 qualify exact for that high…But I know some collectors like to set then in this range for categorizing purpose as the so call 4” MARX spaceman with several not standing more than 3.5” high and still being call ( 4” space man!?) or the generic use of 54 mm scale ww2 soldiers in the Marx range collection where some standing poses Germans and Americans figures range from 51 mm and others 59 mm and so on. Any ways my question was about other inquires, not the size and I appreciate the great answer given by other on this forum some far…Hope see you around on NJ next time…Best regards
