The set contains 6 model soldiers and 2 artillery pieces comprising of 2 sections of artillery plus crew.  Extra head options are provided to give permutation of at least 10 different assembled postures.
This set is meant to supplement our Greek & Macedonian range as the Persians already have artillery while the Greeks have none as yet.

I hope that you will find something of interest in these models. These are all newly sculpted figures.

Each “gun” has a complement of 3 crew members with one as the leader. The heads and arms are all swappable and the torsos can be replaced with models from the rest of the Macedonian range (GRK 09 R to GRK 14 R).
 Lithobolos
We have designed the “Section Leader” to have an Etrusco-Corinthian helmet popular among the Sicilian Greeks as classical artillery was especially associated with Syracuse. We have also designed one of the heads to have a Steve Reeves hair-style, the peplum Hercules of the sixties! (For those old enough to remember the Saturday matinee of Italian sword and sandal classics.)

A Look at the Lithobolos

Artillery
The Lithobolos comes in many sizes but there are two major categories, one for siege and the other for field support. In our case, a set represents a single detachment of soldiers in a particular army and thus the craftsmen who create these war engines in the field would have simply produced replicas to meet their numbers.
Parts of weapon
The torsion-mechanism is a technical improvement over the Oxybeles bolt-shooter in our Ancient Persian range (60 PSN 11 Y). It enables the creation of much bigger and more powerful engines than the composite-bow mechanism. Our Greek Lithobolos is thus much larger than the Persian Oxybeles.
We have designed the assembly to be as simple as possible at the expense of efficient tooling space utilization.

Next Releases

Dragoons

The next set in the production queue are as follows:-
54 BRT 10     British Light Dragoons (1812-1815)
Lancer
54 FRN 12     Polish Lancers
(54 FRN 10 has been reserved for the dismounted French Dragoons set.)
Looking forward to your kind support.
Cheers,

Scott

Some beautiful sculpts – as usual. I reluctantly backed out of Ancients, but would be proud to have these beauties in my collection. I am much more interested in the Napoleonic Cavalry, though.

The message also included four pictures of the upcoming Imperial Guard infantry.

Does anyone know when the Medieval Peasant Archers and infranty will be released? It was previewed a few months ago here.

I believe they will. for end year 2020 approx an as they will need finish w ancient and napoleonic sets first and they still have some more to come on those.
