Axel’s Report Andreas’ Finds, we finish up our German Plastic Show with a report from Axel Sohinius. axel was at the meeting the night before. This meeting has about twenty collectors get together and talk. Also, Thomas Weisse gave an update on his museum. Then we look at the items that Andreas Dittmann got at the show.

Axel’s Report Andreas’ Finds Meeting

Axel's Report Andreas' Finds Wiesse
Thomas Wiese came to the meeting in the evening before the show and carried a box of unique TIMPO figures that you only can find in his collection. Here is Thomas Wiese on right with Herbert Schumacher on the left. In the foreground are some very rare Arabs.
Timpo cowboys

The other pictures show examples of his private production. You can see color variations and body positions that Timpo never produced. Thomas has had these personally produced.
Timpo Vikings
Here we see a Timpo Viking with different arm positions.
More Vikings
Here we have more Vikings with different headgear. The figures were shown at a meeting the night before the show. Twenty collectors were at the meeting.
Apache and Cowboys
Here we have Apaches and cowboys in colors that Timpo never made. Thomas’s museum project is still in development. Some people had the chance to look at the rooms that are already finished. They were very impressed. here is an article in German showing Thomas Wiese and some of his interests.

Andreas Dittmann Finds

APSsoldiers
Andreas shares his finds of the show. These are APS/Polistil/Texas white soldiers, two different sitting poses
Indian teepee
Texas tepee (with Dulcop chief for scale). “Texas” is written outside right of the entrance
Another tepee
unknown tepee and Cyrnos (?) swoppet for scale
Stagecoach
Here is an unknown broken stagecoach, from Hong Kong?
Warhansa
Harald Hardrada the Viking by Warhansa, fresh from Russia (like Conté figures, same scale, and material, but an ugly base from below)
Lido Pioneer and Beton
I got two American figures Lido Davy Crockett and Beton hard plastic cowboy bandit.
Jumbo cowboys
Copies of cowboys in sp and marked “Jumbo Toys – Made in Italy”. Who made the original? They look American to me. I told Andreas they are copies of the Marx six-inch cowboy figures

Finally

I would like to thank, Andreas Dittmann, Markus Lecksheid, Detlef Heerbrand, Peter Bergner, and Axel Sohinus for taking the time to share their photos with us.

Markus Leckscheid told me that the stage coach wrackage is from Cherilea, obviously a more or less direct copy of Timpo. Thanks Markus!

    Hi there
Concerning the tepee i suggest its made by Reamsa a prolific spanish creator
You can see the same kind in the reference book written by Juan Martin Garcia page 150 and page 164 i also owe myself 2 same tepee bought i n Spain
    Best regards

The teeppe if hard as GTO says is Starlux from early 1950s production. If soft is by Reamsa as Bruno says ;that come much later. But colors depicted indicate is a REAMSA version in my guess.
    However
REAMSA even so it made many original set in the mid to late production ,their first sets (“most”) were copies/copied and direct based on two main companies .Elastolin and Starlux .Reamsa copied the western line in the figures poses , accessories, included direct cloned copied are two french Starlux totem, one teepee,a fire pit ,horses and most poses western with some mix poses from Ealstolin based not quite cloned. The third totem from Reamsa is a direct clone of HERALD /BRITAIN iconic totem
the 4th and last TOTEM made by Reamsa is original designed.
Another series copied from Starlux by REAMSA are the pirates .
Also Reamsa copied AJAX,LIDO ,MPC and few other US brands as well Herald from UK .
The most original spaniard makers that barrely or never copied any in their line are JECSAN and PH along few others minor maker such BRUBER,Cradeco,Raygon,RM.
Unfortunately REAMSA got more advertise and exported but more half the line is copied or base derived from previews other makers .While other series are original made included some by british sculptor Gerorge Erick ..
    best
