December Figures Odds Ends Conte Romans

December Figures Odds Ends Romans
Richard Conte of Conte Collectibles sent some updated photos of the Conte Romans test shots we showed recently.
Conte Romans
Richard said the following: They’ve already straightened the one figure.
A couple of the shields look like the pressure to certain parts of the mold needs to be improved. Richard likes the cream color which shows the detail. He is now having to decide on what colors he wants to do. What color would you like?
Copyight
On one final note, we see the copyright for the figures. No official release date has been posted.

Andreas Mystery Figures

mystery Indians
Andreas picked up these mystery Indians. They both have holes in their bases so they were part of a canoe. They were not made in the U.S. Do you know who made them?

Warhansa New Figures

Warhansa
Several sources have clued me to some new figures from Warhansa. The one at the left is a mummy, while the other two are the scary clown and claw finger. You can order them from this dealer on Ebay.

Chintoys Next Releases

Rahway spotted on Hannants UK Hobby Store two future releases for Chintoys. The first one is CHT021 Landsknechts. Set two is CHT022 Swiss Warriors. No pictures yet, we will post once they show up.

December Figures Odds Ends Collection Time

December Figures Odds Ends Hillco
I found this figure in one of the drawers. At first look, I thought it was a conversion of a Timpo figure… I look at the bottom of the figure and found the word Hilllco. So this figure was done by Hilco. I wonder how many other Australian poses were done?
jean cowboy
Going through the collection I keep finding Jean swoppet western. I like this pose of him holding a valise.
Marx soldier
Here is Marx’s soldier being shot. He was part of the second series of army figures. Kent Sprecher list this series as “Medical” GI set. What do you think of this pose?

Warhansa Update

Kent Sprecher informed me that he should have his shipment of WWII Elite German forces this coming week. Kent also said, “The Mars Napoleonic French Grenadiers are complete and I will try to get some in this month.”

I imagine the “swiss warriors”is referring to (Reisläufer) or swiss pikemen mercenary army more likely.
    Best .

  2. I am getting the Elite Germans in winter gear hopefully tomorrow as they are in the Tampa Bay area where I live. I believe the two red Indians (yellow is the most common color) were made in the US. Werner, Irwin or MPC are my top three guesses as to who made them.

  3. Ken Thelen says:

As comfortable as Chintoys is in the 16th century they really should make some Ottoman Turks. Vienna, Malta. Lepanto, ‘just sayin’. Ken Thelen

That is quite interesting, looking at Juan Herrimada’s book he lists the company as Bruver no Bruber. Juan does not show any photos of the for mention figures on the two pages he has for Bruver. This information if you have samples could upend some early English figure history. Trojan did copies of the Marx 60mm Roy Rogers figures downsize.
