Conte Collectibles Romans Factory Test Shots

Conte Collectibles Romans Factory Test Shots, we received today from Richard Conte photos of the factory test shots of the Romans. Overall Richard is very pleased with the results. He feels minor work needs to be done in the assembly. One figure is leaning back too far and another figure’s arm position is wrong. Richard is feeling he is getting closer to giving the green light on this project.

Here we have four of the poses along with their extra pieces which will allow you to do slightly different poses. The poses are a leader or Centurion with a sword and a round shield, two different Romans with sword and shields, and a roman falling backward with a spear in his body.

Other figures
Here we have the four other poses: advancing with a spear at the side, standing with a spear and shield, advancing with a sword and shield. I like the last one as he has his sword slightly above the shield.
Four more Romans
Here you can see how to set “B” looks with different weapons on three of the four different figures.

The first set from Conte Collectibles will contain the above eight pose which I think collectors are going to enjoy. We will keep you posted on this new set of figures.

Really looking forward to these. Great action poses!

  2. ERWIN F SELL says:

    Awesome !
Poses sets and anatomical correct much better than most resent made by others that were made too stiff rigid .
The set will be sold in amount of 8 or 16 figures?
Would Conte offer the non casualties poses in separated set to form mass battle formation or not?
    Any idea in prices range?
    Best

I have to say that I am dying to get these miniatures.
Richard Conte has done a fantastic job with the animation and, if they are half as good as his Greeks they will be phenomenal.
I already have my x force Roman command, artillery and cavalry but have held of purchasing their infantry till these Romans arrive..
Erwin is correct regarding the detail and poses. Wonderful.
(But Erwin X force are not as static as you think – in my opinion of course).
    However……
    I’m not getting any younger….
Richard, Richard – my only question to you is when !!!!!!!!!.
    Please when!!!!!!!!
    Thanks
    Alan

Alan. As you say is just about personal like.
I was in fact not specially referring to ESF but more likely the new “no name Roman” from Russia and TSSD more likely.
I find then too rigid stiff and too classic poses.
In same way I find EXF as well very correct done in accuracy detail but the anatomy of body is too rigid x action depicted poses in most .yet perfect as classical toy soldier figures.
EXF are the new king producing sets per years and diversity sets in plastic in my opinion..
Conte in my opinion is superior to most then in this particular detail of anatomicalcorrect pose depiction and new poses..Yet it does not take way the beauty of others of course.
    Just in my view personally.
    Best

Erwin I totally agree with you regarding the Conte figures.
It’s just they I’ve had a lot of fun with painting the x force miniatures.
I must send some photos in.
But Richard did give me the Warlord, Zulu etc.
    What can I say.
It’s just so long since a new Conte and, you all know, when your in your seventies time isn’t on your side…
    Please keep giving me feedback.
I admire both your knowledge and opinions.
    Alan
