October 2026 New Jersey Toy Soldier Show. I was recently at the last iteration and, as always, had a good time with this small show.
October 2026 New Jersey Toy Soldier Show: Report

The New Jersey show is small, but worthy of attending. The drive is not bad, but I have had a problem missing the exit to Route 23. So once again, I was a few minutes after the doors opened. I started my hunt and found these two 60mm Marx knights. They are made of hard plastic and nicely painted. I will take one to Gettysburg for Mark Hegeman to look at.
Another item I found was the Beton elephant with a woman performer on top. Normally, I do not pick up Beton anymore, but I make an exception on this piece because of its uniqueness. I had the elephant as a child, but for some reason it was kept on a high shelf. My elephant did not have the hole on top, and I did not find out about this variation until I started collecting.

One thing I like about this show is that I can find foreign figures. This time it was a group of early English Plastic Indians. I sent a photo to my friend Peter Evans, and he identified them as Speedwell, a small English company.
The show had lots of plastic figures. Craig Remmington was there with playsets and sold well. My friends Gerry Watts and Scott Murray were back in their room next to the main room. Gerry had a wide range of plastic figures, while Scott had 1/72 figures.
After three hours of fun, I headed to the Clinton Station Dinner. They have a wide selection of food, a great salad bar, and cheesecake that I get for Sherri. \
I have two small shows before my next big one, the Allentown Toy Show.

Does anyone recognize these figures? The knight is not Lido.
