The figures in these bins are 50 p or about $.65 each. I see an interesting yellow Indian throwing a spear. If he is complete. I would have picked up. In other bin, there a Cherilea Viking missing his weapon would be ripe for conversion.

I always have to commend the person who set up his figures to have the patient and stamina to do this. I spotted a Charbens blacksmith on the left that I would pick up.

As you can see there was action when the show opened. As Paul Morehead said to me in an email great crowd and a lot of money changed hands.

    Our hobby…….

Hard pressed to spot anyone under the age of 40 at most events.

    Tic..tic…..tic.

Kids of today have play station,no interest or $$$$$ for our dying hobby.

    Pity that.

This is something I have talked about before. With the advent of the action figures and anti-war sentiments toy soldiers lost its luster. This is happening in many fields of collecting. It now a country of old men at most shows. The exception is Leggo shows. There are other shows, but the majority are going by the wayside. I look at this way, I am proud to have been part of this hobby from the beginning and hope it continues after I am gone ( not going yet.)

Any who play with plastic toy soldier in the golden era of then (before 1970s ) could be a collector of such still today .All from 70s till now grow up playing with action figures, Gi …,else as toys soldiers become very limited and in hobby kit stores most ,not in large retailer stores. So, any from 20 till 40 will be pretty much an action figure collector or else today.
Collecting toys mainly come from nostalgic love from your childhood. You will collect toys as the one you play as child. New generation are very far every day as digital games are their toys today. Lego and Playmobil will become collectables soon too.
        Time changes as generation past

        my thought

Replicants guitar player is the character figure of Paul Morehead.
Guess from the legendary year when the first Airfix 1:32nd set came out

  3. Markus says:

Think they are twins separated at birth. Skywalker-syndrome. Unfortunately Paul turned over to the dark side of collecting plastic figures. On the other we keep the oceans clean.
As long as our collections are not going down the drain when we reach afterlife.
