One area of my collection has been Spanish figures. While the Spanish companies did copy other companies, they also did original figures. They did a number of character playsets. In the past I have shown the foot Bonanza figures. I do not think I have shown this one from Bonaza. It is a mounted Hoss Cartwright done by Comansi.  I have no idea where I got it but it is an interesting figure.

Here we have the Oliver version of the Pech Hermanos 60mm Japanese.

I am putting these two figures up as they show the original base from Pech Hermanos was placed on square base.

I was searching for some photos when I found a Burger King bag.  Imagine my surprise when I found figures from my collection in the bag.  They been slated to be added to the collection and somehow they did not get in. Here we have four of the Reamsa medieval range. Figures just right to populate your castle’s court.

The next find was this conversion of a Marx Western figure.  It may have been done by Joe Falce who did my Lone Range conversion.  I could see him being a part in my stories as either a lawman or villain.

I love junk boxes as I will find odd and unusal figures. Case in point are these two figures. The woman on the right is Chinese and from a marital arts set.  The Indian on the right is missing his base.   I would love to know who made him and for what.

We will be showing more interesting figures very soon.

I think the Indian is an Elastolin clone. No idea who made the clone, but I am pretty sure Elastolin was the original source.

  2. Darren Hatley says:

I really like the Reamsa Medieval figures, Although I usually prefer battle poses, These are different and interesting and would be great for Medieval Castle and scenes.

  3. Michael Purchase says:

Yes, Mark the Indian certainly does look like an Elastolin clone. This figure was inspired by the Karl May western books. The figure was a part of an intended 2 figure knife fight.

The indian is by Paul Plastik.
An italian-austrian company the copied(not cloned ) several italian and german brands adding a base to all sets, sold in cases and bags.It is poor information in two italian brands books about it .
I do not know why they add bases to figures or else.(Probably to avoid being cloned exact!!??)
Very alike TEXAS did but Texas did variation of poses they copied and add new ones plus made entire unique new sets such 24 space/aliens poses set figures.
Paul Plastik They run from 1969-1981! in figures production approx. However it maybe they only pack and distributed as well other minor italians brands did and the actual mold maker copier is other as most their figures of these brand with exception of TEXAS are not marked generally .
