These figures will be great for anyone who has the Barzso Collectibles Daniel Boone playset

As always the detail is great.

The color (Earth Yellow) is chosen to match both the American Militia in civilian dress (AMR 01) and the next release in the range, Frontiersmen in buckskin hunting shirts (AMR 02) to facilitate swapping of parts and heads.

The next set in the release queue is 60 CTB 02 Celtic Cavalry.  This set is close to test casting and can be expected by early-November 2018 (if not earlier). Celtic Chariots and Command sets are ready and in the production queue.  There will be two more sets for the Celts: (CTB 04) Warband at the charge and (CTB 05) Armed Civilians (women, children, old men, slaves, etc.,)

The next Napoleonic set in the queue is 54 BRT 06 British Highland Officers and Command. This set has commenced toolings and can be expected in November or early December 2018.

The two sets I am interested in seeing are the Frontiersmen in buckskin hunting shirts and from the Celtics Armed Civilians.  As noted this set will contain women, children, old men, slaves, etc. I see that set being used in other periods  depending on their clothing etc.

What you think of their figures and plans?

Pretty cool. I’ve always been a sucker for a good woodland Indian. May have to look into these fellows

  2. Wayne W says:

As usual, beautiful sculpts. They might be larger than Barzso’s Woodland Indians, though the style and quality is similar. AIP’ Woodland Indian are/were among their best offerings, too. At any rate, this and their next militia offering are among those I am waiting for. For me the main advantage is they might be good augmentation for what I already have rather than the mainstay of an army or formation so only one set is necessary.

These are going be a big sale in US ,but if not quite match with Barso and Nino scale made be some issues .AIP same era indians are closer to Barzso.
Barzso issue was the skiing missing parts in body of figures as resin mold defect in making then ,they looks often anorexic people.
The EXF figures will blend with PUBLIUS indians well .and of course plenty vintage brand same type warriors.
    my thoughts.

  4. Randolph Karl Dittmar says:

Wonderful new plastic pieces being produced from all corners.
My big wish is 1918 AEF/French(flamethrower!)& Germans w/pose-able heads& arms.
    Perhaps someday.

    Have a great day!

    • ERWIN F SELL says:

Those are good idea Randolph Flamethrower as well machine gus team x WW1 had been a HUGE miss in makers and of course gas mask, the only war were gas was massive used ,almost daily during moths of long period time .
Great thoughts idea suggestion from you.

  5. Mark T. says:

Are these the size of Ex Force Zulu War figures or the larger size of Ex Force WW2, Medievals and Ancients?

Very good figures, but I kind of prefer red-brown for Indians.

    • Don Perkins says:

The email ExForce sent out to customers who had previously ordered his sets identified the new Tecumseh set as 54mm, like the Zulu War figures, rather than the 60mm Medievals and Ancients.

      • Mark T. says:

Thanks, Don. I think they’ll work with my Accurate and AIP Revolutionary War sets, then.

        • ERWIN F SELL says:

There seems to be a different likes and views of scales measurements.
In my opinion and way look at .

I measure figure from bottom base if not rock surface to top head above eye lines or close.
Not matter what Scot from EXF says his figures range in the 60 mm or above in this way measuring. with exception of early ACW that were in some lower.
The EXF WW2 Germans and American went far above 65/68 mm approx. in most to be match blend with any 54 mm range. For many these was a disappointment mt as even next to CONTE and TSSD they look like super men. I found then more match with Vintage German brands, Starlux and Elastolin poses than else.
In the WW2 Gi’s luckily, I got the IDEAL, JECSAN, AURBORN and others to match as almost same scale.
I Do not care about scales as I blend, match and play around by playing with all scales.
Yet I will not go as far to match at all EXF to any standard small 54mm such Airfix (with exception of Germans that were 55/58 mm), Accurate, Rebell,Monarch and even most AIP that are generally 55/57 mm, especially the Easter Indian early wars set figures and rangers
EXF standing Zulu from bottom to top head as not hat is 59/61 mm. Hope this measure give you a better view. Their best match is MPC, Cherilea, charben recast African and maybe Dulcop
But also keep in mind that EXF body of figure are thicker and stronger, x instance a A call to arms Zulu looks like a boy next to one EXF and next to AIP looks closer in match.
Body build thickness and arms size extent give a big difference in figures sometimes more than simple high, same goes for figure with same weapon next to another brand where it(weapon) looks bigger and made then looks odd.

I have all and can-do photos x reference soon.
          My thoughts.

Emhar made WW1 British infantry and artillery with crew also German infantry and artillery with crew and American doughboys.

    • ERWIN F SELL says:

Emhar only did British and German late period w out heavy machine gun and gasmask as far i have.their scale was a bit disappointed as very tiny next to AIP.

AIP too never cover the machine gun crews or mask.
None had other had done w trench long coat or winter coat Sr s.let alone others was.
Those are plus. It looks like every battle in WW1 was done in good summer weather sunny and shining.
Even in vintage MARX did not do this in most poses ., Neither Cresent or Mokarex w few exption single poses.
But I think no one else will venture least x now in long production of figures in WW 1 as AIP did.
