Soma Roman Coliseum
The Soma/Agglo roman coliseum is last in the series of articles from our very good friend Erwin Sell of a series of playsets that were put out years ago. In the previous articles, Erwin talked about the Trojan Horses and the Egyptian temple. In this article we are looking at Roman coliseum that Soma, also sold under Agglo did.
A big part of Roman life was the gladiator games that were held in every major town in Roman Empire. These games would go on for days pitting man against beast and man against man. Some of these games were quite elaborate with the coliseum being floated for sea battles. Also in the coliseum they would have would have chariots races like that were pictured in Ben Hur. This games would continued until Christianity becoming the dominate religion.
Soma ( some of the boxes may be marked and distributed under Agglo Place Corp) did the above playset. It had all the pieces you see here except the figures were in the style of Playmobil. It also came with two chariots which are missing and a sheet of stickers with Latin numbers and letter to decorate the wall. The photos show the inside and outside decorations or Reliefs of the walls.
The coliseum is a nice size but has two negatives going against it. First there is no seats for the spectators. second there are gaps between the connections. A little detail work would make it more realistic.

Talking about playmobil.I forgot put it together with this to create something different as I have it too.
Playmobil is more a coliseum , this SOMA is more a typical arena circus I guess. But I like the wall design better that Playmobil.
But could be work out best I just place it quick x show how come from box.
