Several years ago we talked about the Mormon push carts that Mike Russo of Stockade Miniatures found on his visit to Salt Lake City. Our very good friend Erwin Sell acquired some of their historical figures.

The figures are based on various personages from the book of Mormon. The figures are three inches tall.  Erwin has done a few photos of a couple of the figures for you to see how they compare against other companies’ figures.  Because of the clothing they are wearing you might be able to incorporate  them into your ancient scenes or if you are collect Roman figures like our very good friend Peter Evans. these would be interesting additions to your collection.

the few civilian figures are set of (travelers) are more scale 2.5″ and acceptable for many western/frontier diorama/collection.
Few other ancient poses are smaller as not hat/helmet and not high bases. The last release Egyptian 65 mm and others ancient figures from new set made in china match better in scale with them I ,I forgot those in the pictures…

Some of these figures are really cool but as a non-Mormon I would almost feel it was wrong for me to buy them. I’d have this weird guilt about them going into my middle-aged toy soldier geek’s collection instead of ending up in some little Latter Day Saint’s toybox and helping them learn about their religion.

I just noticed that the 3″ “King Lamoni” figure makes a perfect Aztec warrior.
