At times, I am amazed at the prices on figures. At a recent toy show, a dealer had the DFC figures individually priced at $10.00 each. Looking at EBay, I see the figures priced from $2.00 each and up. I do not look at them as rare figures and usually bundle them when selling.
Here we have three of the four Andy Gard Ringhand Army figures. Another party calls them MPC clones. Do you agree or disagree?
I don’t know if I have put this figure before. Do you recognize the figure?
This was another item I picked up in my travels. It is a 1/32 scale ambulance, which will go in the town I have planned to set up. I found it at a flea market for a dollar.
I had some of the Lone Star Harvey Series cowboys as a child. One of my favorites was the bandit with two pistols. He disappeared, and he was one of the figures I replaced on my first trip to the UK.
I went out last week, and really, it was a waste of time. The only thing I turned up with was this Tootsie Toy car and three track crew figures. The figures are 54mm. The funny thing is I paid a penny more than its original price, $3.00 verus $2.99.
Here is an interesting figure that popped up in my basement. It is a flat plastic Russian knight. I hope to have more information in my next post.
Concern
As you may have noticed in the comments in my previous post, we have had a problem between two 3D figure makers. One maker, Mars, is accusing another 3D maker of taking their designs. The other party has not responded. We do not need this in our hobby.
The warrior with a sword resembles a figure from the Polotoy collection, which has been marketed under various names, including Schylling. Many of these figures are inspired by classic lead Dungeons & Dragons figures and those from the Dungeons & Dragons Hero Quest game. TOYCO produced replicas of two poses with variations for their playset in the 1980s. There are approximately 22 poses of figures and creatures, along with accessories such as a large skull tower, catapults, and others.
The flat figure is made in the Soviet Union and I think still recasted till late 90s or possible earlier 2000s .Sold as souvenir inside a large box or other format.
Serie have 8 different figures representing Russian Empire history and their military units over the centuries.

They are often found on ebay too .
Yes the figure with a sword is part of the Polotoy line. They were widely available in the US at Big Lots – in carded and larger display box sets. Interestingly, the “opponents” of the fantasy figures were rather nice clones of some of the Britains Deetail knights.
Those ringhands are Andy Gard, not MPC.
The wavy sword warrior is from a Hercules set which included scorpion man, Hercules and winged devils.
Me and my brother went to the Plastic Warrior Show today. It was great very busy. We bought 15 boxes of Mars figures from our friend Peter Bergner and we ordered 4 sets of Austin Miniatures US Marines set 2 from Matt Murphy. They are brilliant and he brought two new sets from LOD with which are medieval archers and medieval siege weapon crews. We took all he had and also bought also some more LOD figures. Then we found the man who converts figures and bought three sets of ww2 Indians. Last time we was with him we bought Indian mutiny figures from him. The figures he does are all painted and converted. Then we went to see Steve Weston our old friend. He sent us an email in the week saying he was going to bring the magnificent seven church and archway building to the show if we was interested. We asked how much he wanted for him he said £50.00 the pair. What a bargain. We also had a set of Barzso Zorro Mexicans from our old friend Fred Barrett for £20.00. A very enjoyable day at the show.
