Lehigh Valley Comic Con 2026, 26th Anniversary, I took a break from flea markets and collectibles shows and went to a local comic con.
Lehigh Valley Comic Con William Sadler

The people who run the Lehigh Valley Comic Con have one major show a year at my local fairgrounds. Last year, I could not get in because the line was around the building. This year, the promoters made two changes. First, they went from one day to two days. Second, they had early rights. I got the early rights and went on the first day.
After getting in, I headed to the artist alley. One of the people who was there was William Sadler, who has appeared in various movies, including Shawshank Redemption. I started my conversation with him, asking him about his experience on The Equalizer with Ed Woodard. It was one of the earliest jobs he had. We then talked about Shawshank, and he said his wife did not think he should do it, as it was a small part. He told her it was a great movie and did it. I got his autograph and later took this photo with him. I thank Mr. Sadler for permission to share this photo.
Joe Staton

One other person that I wanted to meet was Joe Staton. He had cocreated E-Man, which I had enjoyed. I told him it was the only book I got a subscription to. I got this little print, and he also gave me this card with his autograph.
Purchases
After you look at the exhibits and visit artist alley, what do you do? You buy things. The first at the show are comic books. I am not going to buy a comic book for $150.00 that I bought off the stand at cover price. (Sadly, I sold years ago.) I did look at some variants. (Variants are books that have different covers from the main cover. Some have short runs, making them valuable.) I saw one cover I liked, but I did not like the price.

I did find this five-inch Galawy Patrol figure, which I will keep.
After getting the MPC figure, I walked around and found this 3D figure. It is one of the characters created by Edward Swing for his book series. While I like the figure, I was not interested in the book for now.

I went back to the dealer where I had gotten the MPC figure. He had this piece from Lupin the Third. It is a car being driven by Lupin, while his friend Daisuke Jigen is firing his pistol. IT is an RC car. The dealer did not have the controller, which was fine as I only wanted it for display.

Also from the same dealer, I found this Bully Zorro.
So I had a great time and will come back next year.

I am pleased to hear that you had a lot of fun, Paul. The Lupin III car set is impressive and unique.I never seen it before .
