June 2026 Conte News More, Richard Conte of Conte Collectibles has released a flurry of photos of future products, and we will have them here. Next, Combat Collectibles is showing computer renderings of their gasmask versions of WWI GI’s that will be out in September. Third, Mars is doing Desert Patrol, plus German Mountain Troops, and German Afrika Corps.
June 2026 Conte News Harald and Einar
Richard Conte has been revealing various figures for 2026 and 2027. One future set of different figures of Einar from the Vikings.
Here is another look at Einar, Ragnar, and Eric.
Another set of figures that Richard has planned is King Harald and his earl carrels. Here we have the final moments of the Battle of Stamford Bridge. King Harald has been struck in the eye. There will be another version of Harald fighting.
Up next, hopefully late summer, more Romans, including an Opti.
Combat Collectibles Update
Evan Oelrich has posted two computer renderings of Combat Collectibles WWI GI’s in gas masks.
Evan has stated that these figures will be out in September and will be in material similar to Conte Collectibles. We will be showing some of the German poses.
Mars Toy Soldier Figures
Mars is going two routes in making figures. First, they are continuing to do box sets. Here we German Mountain Troops, which I hope we can integrate with the Airfix mountain troops.
The other new set is the German Afrika Korps. This set will have 15 figures in eight poses. Hopefully, you will be able to integrate them with Afrika Koorp figures. I like the sniper and flamethrower poses in this set.
Mars is also continuing their 3D figure series. A future set is Desert Patrol.

I wish a company would do swoppets figures again…..
I like the detailing on the WWI figures but the helmets still look wrong. I hope they can fix that before they make the figures.
I’m thinking the “bowl” should be shallower and not come down so far on the head.

FYI King Harold took the Arrow in the eye at the Battle of Hastings although not all Historians believe it actually happened.
I see that Mars are also doing WW II Italian Paratroopers/WW II US Chemical Mortar Team/WW II German MG Team in 1/72 scale also the WW II German Afrika Korps Hopefully they will make the other three in 1/32 as well.
It depends on whether they’ll do them in 3-D prints or injection molding.
Perhaps it’s the lug on the helmet.
I think the angle on the helmet brim is too steep looking, almost like a pith helmet. In old photos the actual brim looks much flatter. If I were to buy those figures I would have to cut off the helmets and glue on more accurate ones. oh well.

On photos of original Brodie helmets the rivet is on the brim, not on the side of the helmet. So that’s another small detail that could be remedied.

I’ve enjoyed WW1 figures ever since casting semi-flat Home Foundry metal versions back in the 60’s.
The Mars desert patrol figures look like the new Toy Soldier Central SAS figures.

Thanks for the headsup, Brian. I just caught the Mars update on my feed. I will say I don’t know much about TSC, but have watched and dealt with Mars from their start. I’ve developed great personal regard for Sergeii over the years as he has continuously strived to improve the quality of his output in the most nightmarish of circumstances. In my dealings with him, he has always been courteous and honest.
