London Toy Fair 2026: Impressions

The show is held at Olympia in London and covers several halls.

This was one hall with different exhibitors with different size boothes.

Bandai had a statue of Gundam, a popular Japanese anime show.

Another booth had a statue of one of the Transformers, as they promoted various character-related items they were promoting.

Peter Evans at Star Images, which markets various figure lines.

Here is a close-up of some of the toys that Star Images markets.

The only figures at the show were erasers in the form of soldiers. These figures have been available for several years. There are three different soldiers.
Bullyland, Playmobil, ETC.

There were several companies doing large figures. One was Mojo, which does animals.

Another company that does animals, including dinosaurs, is CollectA.

Bullyland had a wide selection of character items, including Disney and Marvel.

Bullyland had a nice selection of knights and animals.

Back to Schleich, here are their fantasy figures.

Playmobil had a nice display of their medieval line, including a great castle that can be used with 54mm and 60mm figures. If you look closely, you can see a green figure. It is a new figure called Troll King. If you want to see more of the toy fair, go here for video highlights.
Didn’t know this was on!
Too late now but can the general public get in or just those with credentials?
This page, will tell you who can attend.

Armymen will always be a niche market; nobody can “rub them out”!
For 1/32 scale Toy Soldier collector’s the likelihood of finding anything useful for the hobby is unlikely among mass produced Toy makers. Walmart and Target unlike the days of 21st Century and Forces of Valor have basically nothing. Besides BMC Amazon has all Chinese made junk.
The future is in 3D printing and the softer resin/plastic. Some nice thinks out there now being produced by American and Euro makers but mostly WW2. I hope they branch off into other era’s like Cold War, WW1, character figures in action from our favorite movies 1930-1990 and reproductions of lost Marx, Airfix, Cafe Storm, Britains and Reisler. The only affordable old style injection plastic company that is putting out great stuff is Conte.
Tom,
I gave up going to the New York version as there was nothing in figures. Yes, 3d is the way for our figures. Especially once they get them in a softer plastic.
It’s kind of a shame that Britains no longer has a presence at a big deal like the London Toy Fair.
Sadly, the company is a shadow of its former self. The company has been bought and sold several times.
