There three full set of Marx former 60 mm sets made in Spain copied. Two are varied poses and not cloned while one has then in clone set with paint however i need find out the scale of the clone set .
I do have one varied pose copied set and will do photo .But i do not have the cloned set
However the paint in above figure if figure is soft plastic looks alike paint used by Spaniard makers .
Comansi is 4 generation 90s sets of western series with a alike comic style figures .
The mounted US union cavalryman is one of 14 poses made in resent china sold under DGN and other brands in buckets, bags else. The figures are extracted copies of ESCI HO set increased, detail is quite good in poses and uniforms, the weapons a bit bulky .
I have one set repack configuration x sale left here listed with 24 poses out of original 28 made .

My concern about the DGI figures (WW2 and ACW set) has always been size. I’ve seen some really nice poses I’d like to add to my collection – but don’t want 50 – 51mm figures. That’s held me up buying some of the DGN WW2 sets – some of the poses are off – but there are some that would justify acquiring them, if they at least matched my Marx/Airfix figures.
Last summer my wife and I stopped at a gift/souvenir shop in New Mexico on our road trip to Arizona and I saw some of their 8th Army figures, which were copies of Matchbox. They looked to match up with my other 8th Army figures so I picked up their last two containers. When I got them home, they were pretty good matches -so all good. That gets me looking at some of their other sets.
But I’ve seen their ACW figures in Hobby Lobby and they look on the small side. So… Asking someone in the know- and I apologize if that question has been answered all ready – but I look at that guidon bearer and I can’t help but think if he at least matched my Marx ACW cavalry, it would be a great addition.
Also, I always liked the ESCI WW2 US Paratroopers (a subject dear to my heart); my main concern was scale. After hearing comments about the scale of their WW2 figures and looking at this one compared to a Timpo figure I’m thinking I need to take another look at them. Thanks for sharing the picture, Paul.
The ACW figures are in the 1/35 scale or more close to accurate/revel scale than old Marx
The new DGN WW2 hybrids sets come in 2014 are more copies of Airfix but mix varied and many are new poses such French, italian and Russian.
While some are a bit taller than others they match more Airfix than Matchbox that are more taller than Airfix in return.
Unfurtunatelly not single maker ever follow scale right. Even Airfix had sets made considerable smaller than others if look no only are figure but comparing the same weapons. German paras and mountain sets by Airfix looks like boys w toys rifles and smaller MG next to their comrades reg army set

Will try do photo later if I find my Marx sooner.

It was the same with their (Airfix) HO/OO and 1/72 scale figures. Originally, they were HO/OO (whatever that was (being facetious here) and small. Then they came out with second series of some of their older sets and increased the sizes of many sets, but some, like their German paratroopers were small. We made do. Today, many of us are more selective.
Thanks for your input.
Wayne I just measure the pose in question and if measure frommleg to top hat 51 mm max .
Also the opening if his legs won’t let it seat in the standart Marx cavalry horse at all but only in the running Marx alamo horse of smaller size.
He won’t go along good w Marx cavalrymen if want a correct match blend.
My view.

Thanks, Erwin. Saves me money.
Your welcome…
I think your 8th Army Figure is a rarer Hong Kong copy
He is slightly smaller that the original Timpo ( which would be slightly taller that the Esci figure) and the paint and helmet moulding is slightly cruder
Thanks, he felt smaller than a normal Timpo. I have to get up in the collection and see what I have.
