August Plastic Figure Time Italian Rubber Figures

August Plastic Figure Time. we will be looking at most figures including some of the Italian rubber figures. Next, we take a look at some Lone Star figure from the UK.

August Plastic Figure Time Nardi

August Plastic Figure Time Nardi
Over the years I have been able to acquire various Italian rubber figures. While nice most Italian rubber figures are too big being 90mm like Nardi figure above are just outside the size I like to collect. I got this one because I liked the pose.
Another Italian Rubber figures
Here is another Italian rubber figure. I was unable to make out the marking on the underside as to who made it so I am at a loss at the moment on this figure. Once again I nice pose.

August Plastic Figure Time Lone Star

Lone Star Harvey series
Lone Star made plastic figures from 1956 to1976. They did a wide range of figures under the Harvey series. PLastic Warrior has done several articles on the origins of this line. Here I have two of their cowboys. I had some of these figures as a child. For some reason, my original cowboy with a lasso the right hand broke. the one in the photo is repainted.
Lone Star Australian
Another series that Lone Star did was Australian soldiers.
Kings African rifles
Lone Star reused the figures to make them Kings African Rifles. This British Colonial force was made up in its rank and file of various African men. Lone painted the figures black.
foreign Legion
Lone Star did Foreign Legion figures. The marching pose seems to be the hardest one to find.
Lone Star Afghans
To fight the Foreign Legion did a series of Afghan figures The figures were 60mm where most of the other figures were 54mm. They were one of the Lone Star molds that Toyway found and reissued. the figures.

Admin with all respect please .Minor update -The first figure looks to me a XILOPLASTO-CROMOPLASTO very well conserved by the way and mounted in else(other maker) base.NARDI never made figures in rubber(in Italian-Gomma or plastico flexibli)
All NARDI no composition are semi swoppet,or torso/or head moves and/or have separated base not rectangular line shaped plus made PVC-plastic material ..Included Uruguayan factory production .
NARDI made 4 main scales .
4 cm approx (Export / Nardini)
    5.5 cm approx (Universal / Scale 1:35)
    7 cm approx (Medium / Scale 1:22)
12 cm approx (Super / Nardoni)
NARDI mark all figures bellow with brand and in case Uruguay with the country name bellow as well.

The figure below may be ISAS solid series that copied not cloned the company CROMPLASTO in style but not exact poses or detail .ISAS solid poses base in CROMOPLASTO are PVC and not rubber
If is CROMPLASTO then should be mark CROMOPLASTO,XILOPLASTO or ITALY and were made of rubber most and few series in some type PVC.
ISAS non swoppet solid series painted are very hard find as limited done X less 4 years production.
Regardless two very nice well conserved figures what you got there.
The LS FFL are well done and nice very hard to find poses set.I had not able complete my set yet.
Too bad was nor recast in 90s along other LS sets.I imagine mold never found recovered as few others.
Ironical too LONE STAR made FFL set but not arabs and also did the afghans(reissued ) but not British colonial soldiers to go against them .

    best regards

Do any collectors out there have any experience with 3-D plastic printing. I have some excellent 1/24th scale Elastolin type figures and 60mm others which I want to scan and print out in 1/32nd scale. Has anyone had any experience with this type of technology?

  3. TD Barnecut says:

No direct experience with 3D printing yet but can recommend that you get yourself a Micro Mark catalog for a start. See the 3D scanner they sell for $1,299.00. An expensive item but with it you could scan any of those figures and re-scale the digital files to 1/32. Of course then you need a printer to make the figures – that’s another capital investment but once you get the hang of it you will be creating some cool stuff. I hope someone else will respond to your query with better info, I am really curious about 3D printed figures as well.
