One Day to Season Two Of Toy Hunter

I have been watching the media blitz by Jordan Hembrough of Toy Hunter, which starts season two tomorrow April 10.  On the show “The Couch” Jordan trotted out some toys, one was a doll he is quoting 1300 dollars due to its rarity. Jordan also stated that aEvel Knievel lunch box with thermos he had with him is a  $300.00 item. Checking Ebay I found that day the highest at $224.50 right now there is one at $199.00.

Jordan has also done satellite interviews. These are interviews where the person sits in a studio and is interviewed via satellite by a newscaster from a local market. The one on the internet is from Phoenix Arizonia. Nothing earth shatter except talking about selling your items on Ebay is a lot of work. Duh!

The last piece on promoting season two of Toy Hunter was on Radio West, where Jordan sat down with some other people and talked toys.  A surprise someone called in and talked about Marx playsets!! The caller mentioned Playset Magazine.  Jordan did a tap dance on Marx playsets saying that the last Marx playset he sold was Civil War Playset in 1998? He sold it for $800.00 and touting the value of Marx. Jordan knew Marx made Romans, Phillip Weiss of Weiss Auctions who was also on the show corrected Jordan’s statement that is was Ben Hur. The caller then mentioned that Marx Wagon Train Playset went for $12,000.00!

Well tomorrow starts my review of this show, the first one is with Gene Simmons of Kiss. One of the items that Jordan finds for him is a Kiss radio controlled van mint in the box for $1600.00.

I just saw the Toy Hunter show for the first time. Thought it was interesting, but Jordan’s relentlessly upbeat personality became slightly wearisome. I saw the first two episodes of Season Two, starting with the Gene Simmons KISS episode. I’m looking forward to your comments.

      Don
I hope to have my comment up on the first show tomorrow. We have been having thunderstorms, which has forced me to turn the computer off. The show that they used in the beginning is the Wayne Collectible show. It is a toy show not a flea market. Jordan admits he does not do flea markets, which to the true toy hunters is our life blood. Laurie and I saw the filming of the segment at Wayne, so I can give a little more behind the scenes.
