Stad’s Plastic Figure Potpourri Wrestling

Stad’s Plastic Figure Potpourri. we start off with most recent acquisition to the collection, a 60mm wrestling figure. Next, we will see if you can help with a question I have on some Marx wheels. Finally, we will share some other figure including a test shot of the Marx Daisy Mae.

Stad’s Plastic Figure Potpourri Mattel Wrestling

Stad's Plastic Figure Potpourri
Every Sunday I check the local Dollar Store. This past Sunday, I discovered they had a series of Wrestling figures by Mattel. The figures are 60mm as you can see from the Marx 60mm comparison figure. I picked this one out Ian Balor because of the pose. I figure you can use as is in your fantasy army or do conversions, I will pick up two for Peter Evans so he tries a future conversion for me on one of them. Interesting the back of the card the figures were released in Canada. Does anyone know if they were sold here?

Marx Wheels Question

Marx wheels
I picked up these Marx caisson wheels recently ago, Figuring someone they would need them for their original caisson. I had someone email me a question.
Hi, are these the same wheel size and axle size that fit the blue wagons in the western town sets?
Can anyone help?

Here we have the Marx Daisy Mae from Little Abner in a blue. When I got this figure, I was told it had been run in this color to test the mold before they were sold. I have not had any information if this true or not.

I wonder if you have figures in your collection that you try to figure out who made it and where did I get the figure?

This figure was in my Spanish figure box. I may be wrong ( we will see if Erwin know the figure.) I have no idea who made him.

Yes .It looks like RF-or JEM paratrooper pose but some odd paint over it like damage or else .
      best

  3. The mold that made Daisey Mae was reissued in yellow in the 1990s. I suspect your blue figure is from this time. The caisson wheels and the rear wheels to the buckboard are the same or close to it. The buckboard front wheels are smaller.

Thanks on the wheel information. The blue can be early than that. I remember getting the blue figures in the early ’80s. I will see someone today who give me the answer.

I haven’t seen that wrestling figure before but i like him. I agree about these wrestling figures making great Fantasy Warriors Paul. In fact i have converted some other 60mm wrestling figures into Ancient/Fantasy Warriors. Perhaps i can show them on here sometime.

  5. Tom Black says:

Which Dollar store was the wrestling figure bought at?

  6. Mark T. says:

I got a bunch of those wrestlers at Dollar Tree. The Rock figure looks like he would look great with Finn Balor’s head in one hand, a sword in the other and headless Finn cut off the base and lying dead at his feet. AJ Styles figure would make another good prone corpse or a defiant warrior, and the Roman Reigns figure would look good with a 2 handed axe in his raised fists.

The only useless one is John Cena with his modern cap and shorts.

One dollar a piece at Dollar Tree, but the gougers on ebay are charging about 7-8 dollars each and 15 – 20 dollars for a set of five.
