Do You Recognize This Foam Piece? Final Thoughts

This piece is very interesting, I have no idea who made it or what period of history it could be used for.  The foam piece was sold with a large wooden cannon. The steps and walls throw me off. What do you think?

No idea who made it, but it’s pretty cool looking. I can imagine posing all sorts of figures on it.

I thought I had either seen or purchased every Formtec-type piece ever made, but I’ve never come across this one.

But with it’s combination of natural features combined with some man-made add-ons (like the steps), it seems like something out of a Conan the Barbarian scenario.

A Sword & Sorcery setup would look great with this. You could have Conan charging up the steps to fight a monster or a wizard, or an army of warriors could be coming up the steps at him. Another use I thought of when I saw it would be a Gunga Din, Northwest Frontier scenario.

I think the piece was intend to have something else in the flat part as the stairs lead to.
Any how looks a bit odd to me with pair of hills and step positioned.
    My thoughts. …
    :-):-)

This foam mountain terrain piece may be from the model RR hobby. There are similar looking ones on-line.

There was a company that came around about 5 or 6 years ago, it was run out of Elgin Illinois and I can’t remember the name of it, but they did a piece similar to this, not sure if they did this one or not. I think they went belly up at least he no longer shows up at OTSN. I don’t think they did this piece, but their site is gone, so I can’t tell for sure.
