The weather has been unpredictable that I have not gotten out yet this year. I am planning to do a indoor garage sale this weekend with my very good friend Les. It is at a local antique mall and can be a hit or miss. Laurie will not be along as she has to work. I will let you know if I find out anything.
I had funny one on Ebay. I had someone make me a “reasonable offer” on one of my items. I rarely do discounts on my items and decline nicely. The person did not like my decline and vow to tell all his friends on his blog and facebook. I don’t know if this person thought I would reconsider his offer with this threat, it did the opposite.
Another thing I get a kick out of is the amount of spam you get with Word Press. In the last three days I have delete over 400 pieces of spam. I glance at the first page anymore before deleting. I added a spam blocker last year that has been worth its weight in gold. I hope to add more widgets this year including one for video.
The project side keeps me busy. I have finally finish my sword and sorcery book. I will got do a rewrite and then Laurie will check it. I have set up with an artist to do the cover and hope to have it up on Ebook market by April at the latest. Then I will be working on the book that is a series of short stories about the main character. I have two stories done one twenty pages another 78 pages. A third story has be copied over from hard copy and parts of other stories have been worked on.
The video projects I hope to start on this month with short videos of the boys plus Laurie and myself comedy projects. One I hope to have up in the early videos has Laurie doing a voice for a character we have create. The first time I met Laurie she started to do sound effects which one of the things that intrigued me about her to want to go out again. These videos are slated for Youtube and I will let you know when they are up.
Another overdue project is an article on U.S. Toys for Plastic Warrior. It looks like it will end up a two part article. I discovered this company last year helping out a collector from Europe. The company would not ship to Europe so we had the figures sent to me to ship on. I discovered they had a store south of us so Laurie and I went and visited it. We discovered they have a wide range of figures. The figure poses leave alot to be desire, but they cover a wide range of categories. They have a wide range of modern day figures including construction workers with female construction workers and multicultural family. They have some ancient figures such as Vikings shown above. While working on this article, I found they have added three new sets: western, police and fire fighters. The police set has as Swat figure with a battering ram. Toy Soldier front has been quiet. TSSD is planning figure sets of four figures for this year. These sets are planned to go with their existing sets. One reports that these sets will be done in resin. If anyone can confirm or deny let us know.
