I’m hoping somebody has some of the old Awesome Kid’s ACW and AWI stuff laying around. I don’t necessarily need or want a whole set, but I would like to get the poses. If anybody has any laying around and wants to sell, please contact me. If anyone has any Safari (Tube Toys) ACW or AWI and wants to sell (cheap being the key) I’d like some of that, too.
Greg, Michael’s craft stores sells the ACW and AWI tube figures. each Sunday they put out a flyer with a coupon, usually 40% or more off any one item. i have used a number of those to pick up a few tubes at almost half-off. they have them for $9.99, beating amazon’s price of $13.99, and with the coupon they are $6 or less. if you don’t mind going in every week and just buying one at a time, you can build up a good collection.
Thanks! I intend to add them to my 60mm + collections. I don’t need scads of them. I might be able to talk the GF into making the trip for it. No Michael’s down here as far as I know.

Googled ‘Awesome Kids’ but don’t see any figures. Can you post some pictures of the figures so we’ll see what your looking for?

Safari are two set Union and two set confederated.
They had been sold in full two set combined in boxes too and all over eBay.

Pretty sure I have several bags of the Awesome Kids ACW figures. I’ll check it out later there, Major. I got them at the flea market last year for maybe 5 bucks a bag.
I buy the Tube figures when Michaels has a 50% off Coupon.
Greg, I think that there are 2 sets of CSA and 2 Union. At my Michaels, the 2 nd series is harder to find than the first series.
Also inspect your tubes before buying. It appears that people open these tubes and remove certain figures. I had to go through several tubes before finding a complete set.
So, be careful and make sure each tubes has the correct number of figures.

I went to the Michael’s here in Columbus and managed to get all the ACW tubes – complete. The AWI Brit tube, though….well, I wish I would have read Bill’s post this morning. The Brits are missing the kneeling pose. So, I’m going back tomorrow to exchange. Maybe the Colonials will be out then, too. I used a coupon and the whole thing averaged out to about $9 a tube! The AWI guys are fully 60mm, the ACW are like maybe 58mm except the mounted guys. They are about 48mm. Those guys are going in with my MPC 50mm guys, for sure.
Bill, you’d be my hero if you could come up with the Awesome Kids ACW and / or AWI stuff. Thanks for looking and I’m standing by for an update.

Greg Join the Michael mailing list. They bombard you with coupons but they save you a ton. You can use the app to have the coupons right in your phone
When they run a 50 % off coupon, you can print out as many as you want.
I paid under 5 buck a tube for my ACW guys.
And they often send out emails that say 20% off your ENTIRE Purchase from 3 pm till closing. That includes sale items, so you can stock up on paints, glues and spray paint.
I bought a couple of 6 drawer craft cabinets that were 125 bucks originally, to store my wargames figures. I waited until they went on sale for 50 % off and used the 20% off ( 3 PM till closing) coupon. So, I ended up paying about 50 bucks each for them.
Sounds like something I must do! So, update – No complete Brit tubes here in Columbus, no Colonial tubes what so ever. Scored a full Awesome kids ACW set and additional mounted guys. Block checked. Need the AK AWI set now.
