Questions on the Russian Figures

People have asked my various questions about the Russian Figures.  I hope to answer a few of those questions here.

1. How do they compare to the AIP figures and other figures?

At the moment I do not know. I have a set of the Russian Revolution Figures coming in  hopefully next week. As soon as they are in, I will do a series of pictures showing how they match up to other companies.

2. The figures cost $33.00 a box for 10 figures?

Yes they do. One Russian Plastic figure site has the Russian Revolution at 1000 roubles a box. When I used a foreign exchange convertor it translated into $33.00 a box.  There are four different boxes so at $33.00 a box are at $132.00. The four figures missing from the first set are $10.00

3. You have not reccomended any web sites where I can buy the figures?

I have held back at the moment as my regular sites I would  reccomend have not gotten the figures.  I do not reccomend a site out of hand until I have checked it out myself personally. If I am dealing with foreign site, do they have an English translation of their site? Is their web site easy to navigate? Do they accept credit cards, paypal or both? If not what method payment do they accept?  Has anyone else used them and their experience.

After I have gotten those questions answer I will make a purchase and see what happens.  I will post the results.

4. Do you know what other figures they plan on doing?

No I don’t, Pvblivs or Publius has  done some stylize mounted musketeer and mounted knight.  I have posted a picture of the musketeer for you to see how they look.

Yes, they’re pretty expensive all right. I guess gone are the days of the new plastic figure for .50, and then $1.00. But they do look nice. I even like the stylized mounted musketeers in the photo. I’m sure I’ll acquire a set, despite their somewhat astronomical cost. Surely some enterprising dealer will have them at OTSN.

With TSSD low run figures we are looking at $3.50 per figures. Because of the limited demand of the hobby we will see higher prices.

That is a funky looking horse for that musketeer?
