American Civl War Cannons China Style

I love going through junk boxes. First you never know what you will find in the way of treasures. Second you never know what oddball items you will find. Case in point. the above cannons that I found in a junk box. When I saw them in the box in blue and gray, I knew immediately they were for a civil war set. The makers either had no idea of how a civil wagon looked or decided to reuse a mold.

Since turn up the cannons I have found the bags sets they belong to and will be doing pictures  of the figures this week.

I use them for Spanish-American War dynamite guns in my wargames. With a little paint and detailing they look just like the real things from 1898!

They will look great on any Boxer rebellion scene with european/amerinca troops as light rifle cannon too. Also Sudan/colonial wars..

I always thought they put spoked wheels on the old small US cannon from the Marx Battleground sets; but I’ve never bought one myself so have only seen them in bags and can’t tell you what they look like up close.

  4. You could use them as WWII Japanese artillery.

    That’s an interesting idea.
