Thomas Toys

CS Ako sent us this listing from EBay. The person listed under Marx, but I am giving the correct title of Thomas Toys. The person has steel masters of various Thomas Toys including the pirates that were never issued over, but were in the UK.  I have never seen the figures in all my travels to United Kingdom.

Thise would be nice to have, but I think they exceed my budget. I do like the cowboys and the the pirates, but the ones that are copies of Ideal finish a distant second to the originals. Of course the Ideal Pirates were some of the best ever produced. The pirate with two pistols is one of my all time favorite figures.

Back in the day my local Woolworth’s used to have binfuls of the Brave in a canoe for 15Cents,I had a couple till I realized they were way too small compared to my other Injuns plus they were glued into the canoe,I don’t remember ever seeing the 2 Brave canoe.

For lack of a better place to post this, I note that TSSD has photos up of the first of their new WWII German add-on set up. I don’t know who TSSD uses as its sculptor, but it would be hard to imagine a better-sculpted and positioned pose.
