The figure on the left I acquired before my accident. A collector bought various Chintoys and Engineer Basevitch sets and would only take specific figures out of the sets for himself. I bought the ones that he did not want. The majority were sold but I kept a few for my collection. The figure above I kept as I figure I could use him in several different ways. The figure on the left is a test shot of the Charbens pioneer that a friend sent me.

The above Indian figures have been part of my collection for many years. It was done by Gem Models in the UK. The company was in existence in the ’50s and ’60s. the owner of the company was George Musgrave and did a wide variety of figures that you can see here.
Manurba Tarzan
I had a friend buy me some Manuraba at one of the German Plastic shows earlier this year. Going through the figures I discover that Manurba did two variations of Tarzan yelling with a knife. As you can see the one figure is larger and has a smaller base.. I wonder why they did two variations.

Lehigh Valley Toy Show September 2022

I did my first toy show since my accident. The Lehigh Valley Toy Show is held four times a year. Two times a year it is held at the Chrin Community Center in Palmer PA. The show is mostly about action figures and modern collectibles. There are a few dealers with plastic figures. One dealer had Britians Deetail British but wanted $4.00 each. In the next row, I found two Deetail British for a dollar Another dealer had a few mixed pieces of plastic in amongst fast food.

My main reason for going was to see Mike Predergast and Carolyn young of Warhorse Miniatures. Mike besides selling his 3D figures had comic books and action figures. His #D figures are amazing . He showed me a sitting potter that is fantastic and he has only been doing these figures since last October. you have to see the detail.

I got for a friend in Germany a set of his Viking Raiders. For another collector, I bought two different sets of No Name figures from Russia. I explained where the name No Name came from (Yours truly the Russians had no name for the company so I call them No Name and it stuck.) Finally, for myself, I got some Warhansa knights. I sat with Carolyn and Mike for a bit learning more about his 3D projects and me relating about the hobby. As I was getting tired from the walking I headed for home.
