Eldon Jeep Color Variation or Copy

Eldon Jeep Color Variation
Last year, I got from a friend a box of plastic figures. the figures were mostly from the ’50s. One of the items in the box was this jeep. The moment I saw I recognized it as Eldon. The problem is the colors. I have only seen the Eldon jeep in dark green. It was used with the landing craft. Where was this jeep used?

Hanomak Trajan Romans

Eldon Jeep Color Variation Roman
Our friend Rahway clued us on Vympel Hanomak is planning on doing Trajan Romans. Here we have mounted Roman very likely Trajan and a foot soldier. The figures look great except the shield seems short.
German expedition
here are five of the six poses for Hanomak Ahnenerbe’s “In Search of Shambala“. Shambala is a mythical place that the Germans searched for. The figures are based on the people who took part in the expedition. The cameraman is Ernst Krause, operator and photographer of the expedition. According to Denis Barannik several thousand photographs were taken by them, 90% of which are still not declassified.
Shaman
The sixth pose is of Shaman they met. The Schafer Expedition brought back various items plus did a movie that was released in 1943.

The Hanomak Romans look good but with a mounted figure the set will be more expensive than usual. The Road to Shambala set is mixed the figure with the stocking hat looks cool and can be used as a generic explorer of the 20’s and 30’s and the figure holding the torch reminds me of something out of the 1st Indiana Jones film. The remainder of the set looks like German Mountain troops.
    What scale is the Tank?

  3. Kirk Larson says:

The Eldon big poly helicopter had a blue Jeep with it. The big amphibious plane also came in bright colors— mine has a red one.
