Odds Ends Publius Ancient Egyptians

Odds Ends Publius Ancient Egyptians
Publius is showing a set of six different ancient Egyptians. As always the figures are well detailed. I like the two men with spears. No word on when they will be released or the price.

Conte Collectibles Viking Pose

Odds Ends Publius Ancient Egyptians Conte
Conte Collectibles is showing another of its future Viking figure. Here is what Richard Conte had to say. He has just enlisted for duty in the Viking set. We are doing a right arm with Viking shield, left arm with a sword, and left arm throwing spear. And yes, he’s perfect for double use as a Barbarian!

Figures for Sale

Marx missionary
I thought I would share two items up for sale. The first is the missionary from the Jungle Jim Playset. He was one of two figures that were pulled from the mold frame when the jungle figures were used for the Daktari set. The other figure pulled was a woman hunter with a rifle. Added to the mold were Paula and a jeep driver.
MPC King Kong
The other figure is one of the character figures from the MPC King Kong Cartoon playset. The figure is of Captain Englehorn. He was based on the character from the film. Did you watch it when it was on?

Odds Ends Publius Ancient Egyptians New Figure Line

Odds Ends Publius Ancient Egyptians Indians
Erwin Sell sent me a new series of western figures. Erwin got the photos from Kent Sprecher.
Odds Ends Publius Ancient Egyptians Cowboys
Erwin checked with Andrey Buslov who replied with the following:
They were
made by a guy from Moscow. Based on metal figures from EK brand.
No brand 🙂 Just for fun. Very limited run.
Cowboys
Andrey does not have them yet. Each set of eight figures will be $72.00 plus postage.
Indians
As we get more information we will let you know.

Elastowit Science Fiction

science Fiction
Elastowit has added to their science fiction line with a set of two figures. the first is from Earth Vs. the Flying Saucers and Invasion of the Saucer Men. One of our great enjoyments was to meet Bob Burns who helped Paul Blaisdell with the special effects. Bob said they used his neck for the hand to attack as the actor who was supposed to be attacked was afraid of needles.

    Some beautiful sculpts – again.

King Kong – “Ten times as big as a man…” LOL; watched it once or twice. It came along as I was getting “too old” for Saturday morning cartoons but my brothers liked it.

Looks like Rick is going to do it again. I admired his metal barbarians and vikings for years; it looks like we’re finally going to see them represented in plastic. He seems to be back. It’s good news for the hobby IMO. The prices aren’t too high and they are excellent sculpts. Whatever else one can say about him is he has produced some beautiful figures.

I like the Conte barbarian/viking ,can be used as Celt(gauls,Britons/iberian- Lusitanian)or even Dacian too .Conte figures dynamism/detail are superb for fraction of a costs of many others from Russia ;the bases are often far better suitable versus other makers .
Interesting Elastowit set ,unfortunately not in my plate .I bet many will like them and i can see then going well with older Marx/Lido figures as well new LOD space figures .
Interesting in King Kong cartoon captain figure ,i never seen it ,nor the cartoon .
    My thoughts
