Andreas’ Mystery Lunar Base Marx Copies

Andreas’ Mystery Lunar Base, our very good friend Andreas Dittmann send me photos of a mystery playset to see who made it. Even if you do not know it is an interesting set using copies of Marx astronauts.

Andreas’ Mystery Lunar Base A Mystery

Andreas' Mystery Lunar Base Space toy

Andreas said this in your news from January you had a Luna Space set from Jean Hoefler, which Peter Bergner found in Belgium. These are now some photos of another “Luna Set”, but this time of – to me – unknown origin.
The box just says: “Space Wars – Base Luna”, but does not have any other information.
Spacemen figures
The set consists of a hollow plastic diorama space landscape with a radar station and a rocket launcher, both placed on some kind of building that is separate from the diorama-landscape. The plastic diorama plate is fixed on a wooden ground-plate. At the front of the rocket building “laser generator” is visible on a piece of paper. Radar and rocket seem to have the same tripod. They are glued onto the building.

My hope is that some of our American collectors may be helpful in identifying the set because it came with five astronaut figures which (to me) look in style very much like Marx or other American makers. Diorama base and figures must not be from the same maker.
the different figures of the astronauts
The unpainted figures are on a 54 to 60mm scale and made of soft plastic. They were glued onto the diorama-plate, but I put one off to see if he has any markings under the base, but there was nothing. The figures are definitely not from Safari but look very much like them. The set may have Italian connections, as we know the mode of combining wooden plates and plastic diorama parts. And of course, the figures could be Marx copies.
Any ID ideas?

    about mystery playset ..
The playset is apparently another mix by a collector. The two cosmonauts (rounded helmet and rectangular base) are by DULCOP original off the 6 poses set or direct cloned copies .Dulcop resemble soviet era russian space suits cosmonauts rather than US style astronauts space suits .
The BASE LUNA name is in italian and belong to BARABELLI playset sold in 70s .The figures used were direct copies of Marx poses 60 mm APOLO astronauts set ,the one with not rectangular bases above shown are BARABELLI copies-cloned.

    Hello.
in italian “base luna” means “moon base”. The diorama was produced by Baravelli, an italian manufacturer.
