One other item that was in the junk box was this pioneer figure. Both the seller and I recognize it as a copy of the Lincoln Logs metal pioneer made in the ’30s. When I got home I was able to solve the mystery. Looking on the underside of the base showed the following 2014 Made in China Knex. Once I saw the bottom I knew who made it. Knex bought Lincoln Logs in 2014 Checking Ebay I discovered a set where the figure was included.

Anchor Bay Horses

Anchor Bay for some reason decided to copy the Stuart Horse with leg up. Besides copying the Stuart horse, they increased the horse to at least three times the original. Here they did a two-horse sleigh ride.
Stuart Wagon
This is a buckboard version with one horse. Stuart Horses have a very active following that is always looking for different colors for their collection.

Mars WWII Japanese Paratroopers

Mars Japanese paratroopers
Kent Sprecher has informed me that Mars Japanese paratroopers have been shipped. As I figured the missing poses would be the ones in the 1/72 scale set. as soon as they are available here in the states we will let you know

Few More Items

Timpo Civil War
I first got these figures as a child on a bus trip to New York City. The y were purchased in a store in the Port Authority where we got the bus. I like them for the poses I believe have talked about the soldier squatting with the bayonet rifle. The confederates with the kepi hats are supposed to be the hard one to find as Timpo did the cowboy types hats. I did not see those figures until I started active collecting.

Finally, who made these figures?

  1. ERWIN F SELL says:

The last figures with camouflage are made by Forces of Valor and is part of the new modern Special Forces Delta Army set

  2. Jack Gibbons says:

The special forces figures were late figures sold by Forces of Valor at Target. There were numerous different modern US figures, including tank crews. These came out when Target was selling the plastic versions of the WWII airplanes and modern US vehicles.

I got mine from TRU .They they still fairly common off Ebay else in blister card loose it else.
I like them as less bulky than early WW2 sets with supermusculor soldiers.
I never saw any FV plastic plane.
I rather like 21 century as more generic and cheap.
FV heavy resin material is too fragile and expensive.
    Best

AIP also has a “new” reissue line of Boxer Rebellion Defenders: Civilians (Boers) and Retired Military (Shirt Sleeve Order) in three color combinations. It is a good back-door way to get Boers in Grey and Khaki Brown since they now only come in Dark Blue.
