Plastic Figure Showcase June 2018 Part One Plastic Warrior Show Finds

One of the companies we discovered over the years is Cane from Italy. We got  some of their figures years ago including copies of the Elastolin Turks.  I have known that they did other figures.  In the lot I got some of their 45mm army figures. The detail is excellent. The weakness of the figures is their scale and no base.

Another set of figures that Cane did were Italian Alpini figures. These figures were designed by Simonetti, who also did the Fontanni figures. Plastic Figure Showcase June 2018 Part One Plastic Warrior Show Finds

Reisler of Denmark is another company that I like. I got a few of the figures over the years. Some of their figures were imported to the states. I remember buying a load of figures at flea market only a few miles from my house  finding a Reisler figure.  Here we have some of their 54mm western figures from their final production years.  Great poses and wasy to add into your Marx figures.

Staying with Reissler the two figures in the center are Reisler.  The Indian chief should be Paramount reissue while the Indian chief on the right is Cherilea.

I got these 70mm knights at the show. I have no idea who made them but I believe they were done in Germany.

Markus Lecksheid seeing the photo of Jim large Davy Crockett Redstick  decided to share some of the 60mm figures that were done in France. First to the far right is the Jim 60mm Davy Crockett. Center figure is Georgie Russel.  The other two figures are by Cyrnos of Davy Crockett and Redstick.  The Marx 60mm Mexican is for comparsion. Some of the figures I will be looking for in the future.

Grisoni who had the molds of Cane also had these figures at the same time. Whoever made them they are great figures sadly in wrong size.

Never heard of Grisoni, interesting,i heard of GPS who once sold then, also Barabelli that in 80s was selling repacking in their own some of CANE original sets, you can find CANE cowboys and romans in Barabelli bags still around. For some reason i got this figures but with bases and i totally forgot brand now plus not time researching.I agree in level detail and nice poses .

Ok after dig out my set the Gi’s in top are by Manurba from Germany and mine are the ones sold under PLASTIK that are mounted in rectangles plug in bases ,they did same with CO-MA sets .
This was an italian german company that sold in Austria as well and should not been confused at all with PLASTY from germany and also no with DOM-PLASTIK .The rare brand apparently did import or have business with Dom -Manurba,LINDE ,Leyla and other german- italian brands and repack or adquire molds to do then according to Dittman early book ,i have a mint bag sets of these and Alpine CO-MA sets mounted in rectangular are bases as well that can be detached if like .
The US gi’s -possible made as post WW2 german army NATO set was according to Andreas Dittamn book as well were imported sold by Grisoni toy company as Admin correct mentioned and Tallon in UK exact without base as those in photo.Manurba also made this set in 35 mm or HO variation as well.

The Native American advancing with spear and shield looks like a ‘GUNG HO’ Apache warrior.
I’m not sure the one with the shield and club is REISLER either, I think that all their Indians had full headdress and buckskins. Although it’s been a while since I looked at this maker so might be wrong.

    • ERWIN F SELL says:

      With respect please.
Both indians in center are unknown to me ,they should have logo brand bellow if were recast Reisler ,Reisler have over 6 poses with few feathers headband ,not all are full headdress and buckskins. In the one recast i got from 90s i do not ve these ,neither in this catalog link
GUN-HO apaches had not such pose either i have ,i think all then too and detail is different plus more apache style as well and most are with rifle
here is Reisler link with samples again.

You might be right on the Indian with spear and shield. The Indian with the club is Reisler. It is in the catalog that Erwin mentioned.
I consider myself knowledgeable not THE EXPERT. When I post items I try to get it right but I open to honest corrections. The color of both figures was similar and I made an assumption. Other items I know who made it. There are so many figures to keep straight and I have other things to do.

      • ERWIN F SELL says:

Les White is very well correct in indian with spear been Gun Ho ,after i saw his comment i went dig my Gun Ho figures that for some reason were in two split lot and so far i got 8 poses ,i don’t know if we’re more ,the pose is there among it .So i was wrong doubt in it not been GH brand and yes the Reiler pose with club is in my recast as well..

I like the Reisler cowboys, I especially like the ones with the swivel arms, they seem to take the same body pose and just add different arms.

  4. Peter Evans says:

The Chief standing on the end with the staff was originally made by Hilco, the moulds were bought by Cherilea in 1963. This figure might be a late issue Hilco, as when Cherilea made them they tended to produce them in bright reds, greens, etc.

  5. Peter Evans says:

I forgot to add that Starlux also made a similar figure in their Michele range

  6. ERWIN F SELL says:

The knights are included and the castle as i mention in this post and i found mine and will supply pictures. They are made in Germany indeed .mine had the brand in base as follow. Hartung-spiele.
