One of the interesting pieces that came out of the Marx Warehouse sales that I attended was a couple of Civil War figures in hard plastic. I remember besides the above figure I got a Union mounted caisson rider and possible mounted Union kepi. I always wonder where these figures were used, do you know?
No, but I have a 60 mm Indian pose that’s made out of what feels like petrified wood. It’s the Indian woman holding the bowl. I bought it at a yard sale. It was the only figure for sale there and the woman did not want to sell it. I had to work to finally convinced her to sell it to me.
I have no idea what it’s made from, but it ain’t plastic.
I’ve always thought it would be great if the people making the Marx reproduction figures could produce some in polystyrene. They would be perfect for converting & painting.
