Erwin Sell’s Plastic Western Town Building Collection Part Two

Erwin Sell’s Plastic Western Town Building Collection Part Two we are looking at more of the western buildings that Erwin has collected. This time we will be looking at buildings done by Simba.  I will let Erwin explain.

Erwin Sell’s Plastic Western Town Building Collection Part Two Introduction

As part of my hobby, westerns had been one of my many interests.  To do it right you need buildings. Western buildings made of plastic are my main interest to accomplish the western scenes . As I collect figures from 45 mm to 75 mm scale  I had recollect buildings in scale suitable for  the different scales.

I had in past I had posted the rare Koler brand four different buildings.  Germany had been since early 20 century a fan of the West. They have done many toy western toys. I have been searching to get many others from their brands. Most are very hard to find in the states. It has taken me many years get them in good to great condition from overseas.

Here I will continue with a non typical toy soldier vintage brand but now discontinued and hard to find building series made by Simba .

They apparently come in late 90s or early 2000s. First sold with these rare 70/75 mm cowboys that till now are new poses and not copies to me . Note the figures are compatible in scale with what I call (German standard traditional figures scale) of toy soldier figures scale set by Elastolin over 100 years ago .The scale (1/26-) is approx or 70/75 mm.
According to Markus Lecksheid  from Germany they are not easy to find .  They may have been sold for a limited time.

While the buildings are nice, the carriage and wagon are a toys. Yet you could have some use for them.

The buildings are four different models and made of soft plastic with minor hard plastic parts very easy to put together. They can be use with 60 to 75 mm scale figures. The buildings look too big for 54 mm in my opinion .

They match up with Playmobil and Italocremona or others same scale western buildings. Great for Ideal, Aurburn ,Beton,Ajax and Timmee 70 mm scale cowboys as well most European tall scale figures as well.

I acquire this set in a full big lot with some partially damage poses/parts . I had set figures and houses with others to give you guys idea of scale suitable with others brands as well .

The western cowboys and Indians poses that come with fort and in mint card are different complete in style and design from those in western town and in 60/65 mm scale or smaller to those from town

Great buildings , very colorful !

  2. Greg Liska says:

Great buildings and the wagons look pretty deluxe, too. The figures lack animation, in my opinion, but if you like them, you like them. After all, I’m the guy that collects, fixes and converts Lido, Timmee and MPC ring hand ACW figures, so I have no room to talk. Now, about this $5,000.00 reward for The Duke himself; I’m a little surprised they suspect him of ANY wrong doing. I’ll tell you this, it’s gotta be somebody really ‘bad’ to bring him in. Even dead, he’s going to be tough.

LOL. I agree.Interesting they use a actor so well recognized as typical good western hero in the wanted post.Thinking is German toy brand and they know a lot about western I think was an intentional joke.
      My thoughts.
      Best.

  3. Rob says:

Are there any sites where you can buy this set?
    Greetings Rob

    • admin says:

Sadly, no unless they pop up on Ebay.

      • Rob says:

Out of curiosity what’s a normal price for the set.

        • ERWIN SELL says:

These are vintage toys ,not because of the age but because long gone of market ,not longer produced ,very hard find around in the US for certain ,more easy from Europe if lucky .Price could be any or wherever the bouyer decide to ask for .I got them years ago at very reasonable price.
          best .
