Andreas Dittmann Unidentified Plastic Figures November 2016

Andreas Dittmann Unidentified Plastic Figures November 2016, our very good friend Andreas Dittman has sent us more figures to help identified. He is a very good hunter. The figures  andreas has come up with are very interesting.  Most figures he can identified, there are some he does not. That is when he turns to his circle of friends. I have honor of being one. I help get one identifed a Chiang Kai Shek that was sold in Taiwan.

The first photo is a horse is unknown to Andreas. It is hard plastic  and about 45mm scale. The horse could be from a circus set.

The next figure is a wagon driver figure. It could be from a western figure or possible from Spanish nativity scen.

The two British soldiers are 70mm and flat.  Andreas thinks they might be from Hungry. I feel they are from Australia.

In the next photo we have two figures. The one on the left is copy of the mounted Indian chief on a base.  The figure is a copy of the Stuart pioneer figure with a headdress. The headdress is different than the one of the Stuart figure.  A molded in spear completes the figures. One finall note the figure has been up sided.

A hard plastic canoe made in England. No markings  but  Andreas thinks it maybw from a company called Puck.  The 54mm Airfix is for reference.

Another look at the canoe with the Hong Kong copy of the Stuart figure.

Andreas’ friend Malte brought for him the soldier above from a visit in the States recently.  He bought the 90mm semi-hard plastic figure in a
museum.  I recognized it right away as part of a series that is available in U.S. Toys.

The last 40 -45 mm space men are from “COMANDOS DEL ESPACIO” – REAMSA – SPAIN
made off combination of Archer and Premier poses. Each figure had a clear plastic helmet. Items #39 #40 #41 and #42 in the Reamsa catalog. Sold with header card and in card box type as well.
They were copied or mold transfer/sold to Argentina later ,sold under ANIMART brand in multicolor .

I think Tudor Rose from UK did a same set poses but in more 50 mm …
These figures had been copied many time but in the 40./45 mm so far are from Reamsa.

The two Soldiers in the 3rd picture are indeed Australia origin. They were made for Woolworths (or Woolies as we call it) here in Australia and sold on individual cards. They depict Australian troops from WWI called ‘Diggers’. There were six to collect and they are hard to find.

The guy in the fourth picture reminds me of one of the MPC 45mm soldiers cast in pink (which wouldn’t surprise me considering I’ve seen them in just about every other color over the years). The helmet and stand are off so I’m thinking its some kind of knockoff.

  4. Daniel Murphy says:

The figure in the fourth picture has the stance of one of the 45 mm MPC soldiers, but the detail is definitely off – so it must be one more clone variant.

    Few more data.
The spider man is Adelaide Marvel cake topper.

The two poses spaceman ,one(pose in right) is Lido (captain video) or a copy base in the series made from 35 -50 mm and copied by many companies around. Also repeated in taller scale (that pose in right) I can not increase picture and is not related to other pose next as far I know and see.

The spacemen pose in (left) is from Italian made set or copied ,later sold as HK painted in 80’s .
However same series of 8 poses figures(included aliens) with same type pants(pose in left) had been done in metal in 30’s or 40’s and recast in metal as well later, they are semi flat./Base of metal original are rectangular. They resemble early Buck Rogers

The canoe looks copied or base in Marx or Banner type(picture has an odd angle to distinguish well). However the stripes marks inside are too close to be exact from Marx or Banner copied. Probably made in UK by Poplar!?.That copied many US toys as Tudor Rose did too.
The carriage driver is not from Spaniard nativity ….
    Best regards..

Interesting in the Horse, is not Charben or Britain copied, may be from France if hard plastic.Could be that is not from a circus as not head ornate plume.!?
The semi flat soldier looks like cheap made in china pose to me.
    Interesting in Stuart copies.
    My thoughts.
    Best….

Hi Stad’s Stuff – just found this blog by Google – what a great find – I have been playing with …. I’m sorry collecting toy soldiers since the 50s 🙂 – and am starting again. But I wonder if your expertise can help my quest. Once upon a time my folks bought me a set of Napoleonic soldiers from France – plastic including a grey-coated Napoleon and a Marshall Ney (?) plus some marching Imperial guards. If I uploaded the only photo I could find of one of the figures could you help to identify them . I was told they are No-Rev (?) but I cannot find anything else to corroborate. Fond Regards Danny

      Danny
I will send you my email address so you can send a photo so we can get them identified.

    • erwin says:

      Danny.
If figures are painted they are probably by NOREV a French toy company that resold/repack many original figures sets from older French brands molds such QUIRALUX,JEM and COFALU . They sold the figures sets in blister pack and window cases under license from others. Not produced by NOREV ;most from 70’s till early 90’s .
Now they only sale did cast toy cars as originally they started.

Once I see pictures it will be easy to find out who exactly were the figures from (regarding original maker mold).
      Best regards…
