White Castle A Review

We  finally got to White Castle. Today after Laurie  had done the laundry, I suggested we try White Castle. We drove over and were able to get a parking space  with no problem. We walked into the store and went over to the counter. I had to wait to make an order because some guy was arguing over not getting credit for his free burgers. Finally he moved away and I was able to place an order  for a double slider for me and a Jalapeno burger for Laurie.  They were out of regular fries so we ordered sweet potato fries.

Next was the wait for our order.  Once again the man who was suppose to get free burgers was arguing again over his bill.  Next the clerks had to put two 30 slider packs together for a guy that should have  had only one slider. The guy picked up his order and everyone who was waiting for their food wonder if it was for a group or just the guy. I finally  got my order and took it to our table .

The first problem because it was not marked Laurie gave me the Jalapeno burger.  We found out the Jalapeno burge has white cheese with Jalapeno in it. I switched  to my burger and bite into it. Nothing to it, meat had no taste. The sweet potato fries were cold from sitting under a heat lamp and wimpy.  The only good thing was the soda as it is Coca Cola place. We decided it was our  first and last visit to White Castle.

As I said before I want to try it once and see what the hype was about it.  Frankly I do not see why people go there. The place has a poor layout in the kitchen area, it is too cramp. The front counter needs to be  expand as that is too cramped. as well  Then the food is terrible. One friend of Laurie’s calls them mush burgers, yet has to stop there as her son loves them. While we were there they sold at least five of their 30 slider packs and got a line both inside and at the drive through.  It is amazing how the food palate of Americans has deteroirated.

I never they thought they were special, some people do love them though. Mainly it was something we did in our youth after getting a belly full of beer. I always preferred the Jack in the Box taco’s, but they closed them in my neighborhood. Some of the stores out here even sell the White castle burgers in the frozen food section, personally I never understood the attraction.

I agree they are nothing special, as I have said befor I wanted to try them. If I would go back to observe the people more than food. I can not understand the attraction to Five Guys.
