Does Your Marx Disney King Pecos Bill Have a Mustache?

088When I was photographing the Marx Disney King Pecos Bill figure for EBay I noticed that the painter in Hong Kong had painted a mustache. In the cartoon Pecos Bill is clean shaven. I wonder if other Pecos Bill were painted with a mustache.

    You know, the last time I had Pecos Bill, I was probably 10, but I seem to recall a moustache on him, but that was a long long time ago.

    The Pecos Bill figure shown was sold loose from a counter pack in the UK in the early 70s with other Marx Disneykins. Factory painted in PVC. I have this figure and Captain Hook.
    I think he was being sold as a generic cowboy figure rather than a character one.
