Peter Evans Finds March

Packages from our very good friend Peter Evans are always a treat as he comes up with some interesting items for the collection.

010

The first item we got in this month’s packages are these 45mm Romans. The figures were in a bag with a header card that said 24 knights.  The set came with covered wagon minus top and only 13 knights.

005

The next item are cowboys and Indians. The figures are inspired by the New Ray cowboys and Indians, but the poses are different.  I like cowboy with the lasso and rifle. He would  go great with the Atlantic hanging man.

007

The Indians have nice poses. One I like most is the chief with goat skull, I get a kick out the Indian with knife and shield.  The knife is too long. The figure would be a great one for conversion for some type of ancient figure.

008

The third photo shows 45mm Blue box Japanese, Imaginext figure and two 54mm Japanese Fantasy figures.

009

The last photo shows three Horrible Histories figures The one on the left is a second series Kadesh warrior. In the middle is an Egyptian Warrior and a Mummy. It is a shame they are dropping this line.

I like those romans!!,the cowboys cloned/remolded version are fine, the Indians better. I like to great warrior female Indian with big hammer. The HH Egyptian and romans are the best from that brand, Good use for guardian standing poses. For me the big Shame is that this line never come to US at all. How come so educative figures do not were ever carried by any dealer or retailer here!!??No wonder our children don’t know a heck of history. You go to those school supplier stores and all they have is dinosaurs and animals.

The female with a club along with another Indian, teepee etc. can be found on little carded sets that were at Dollar General – maybe $2 or so.

    Thanks Daniel!!!

I think the “Romans” would make better Lemurians or Cimmerians.

  8. erwin says:

too much roman legionary helmet and plate armor from 1st century to be that. I will use then as 3 century or auxiliaries best

That’s what I was thinking! Either that or some sort of revolt inside the Empire where they would use captured items.
