Classic Television Part Two

My cable company has added another retro channel called Grit.  It is combination of old shows and movies.  I have not been able to get a handle on their schedule. Heroes and Icons will be adding  Hill Street Blues and Hunter.  Cozi has added Wyatt Earp and  Bronco in the morning.  They are also suppose to added the Disney Zorro in the morning, but they are still running the Lone Ranger.

For those who want their shows on DVD check out a web site Oldies.com.  A friend told me they are load with television shows going back to 1946!

I do own all the Star Toy samurais and female (geisha) poses, I bought the entire collection of Star Toy figures from Spain in 2004. The figures all came in one large window box. Incredible I pay only 29.99 for the set but the shipping was $78.00 because of size of case. I will like to add that the figures are in fact 90 mm very close match to Plastoy and Papo samurai. Some of the Star Toy Samurai figures are on sale on some of the international EBay sites.

I’m a great collector of all Japanese related history done in toy soldiers. I own a lot of rare plastic figures from this country. Korea also has done figures related to the 1591-1597 war when Japan invade Korea and almost defeated Korea. The Korean figure sets came out in late 90’s after several movies and TV was done as a commemoration of the war.

They are hard to get now as they are no longer produced. Interesting a few rich people of Japan and Korean had bought the figures in the tens of thousands to make their own personal displays of the battles. Two Korean War Museums had huge display with many of them in beautiful action poses (these figures are all plastic and range in size from 1.36-1.32 scale fully painted). The price of Japanese figures cost between $3-7.00 USD.
