Happy New Year

Laurie, the boys and I wish you all a Happy New Year. We had nice New Year’s eve. Laurie and I went to a local diner for a prime rib dinner.  After that we visit with some neighbors and had a wonderful time.  Today we started a new tradition of going out for breakfast on New Year’s day. Laurie normally has egg beaters for breakfast, but due to a local tradition you do not eat chicken or eggs on New Year’s day. so we went out to our local dinner for a breakfast of French toast, ham and home fires.  Later we will  have a dinner of lettuce with hot bacon dressing, pork with sauerkraut and potatoes.

This year shapes up to be just as exciting as last year. As we have reported  Engineer Bassevitch has given us two great new sets to look for. Sell Toys is awaiting for his first armored vehicle which is due in late January. Austin Miniatures has their WWII Japanese coming out for the fall. Paragon has Civil War figures due later this year.  We are waiting  to hear what TSSD  and Replicants have up their sleeves.

My first show is two weeks and we will see what turns up.

It has gone unnoticed on hobby forums but on the TSSD webpage under “Coming releases” they report that there is a new company that will be producing Ancient Trojans and Bronze Age Greeks including Chariots. The post has been up for over a month but nobody is talking about it.

I have heard nothing about a new company doing ancient Greeks and Trojans. You would have to ask Nick of TSSD if he will give any more details.

Thanks hope to see you again this year.
There is a flea market down at the Fire hall outside New Hope the second weekend in January. I will visit it on Saturday.
