Greg Liska’s Dang Riders

All the fightin’s up front of us. Ain’t got nuthin’ to worry about back here. We’re guardin’ the baggage train, for God’s sake! Relax, trooper, ” said the corporal to the nervous young cavalry trooper. Not 5 seconds later, shots rang out. ”Dang! Raiders!” yelled the corporal. It was the last thing he’d ever say.

I took recast Mx cowboys, trimmed down the hats to get rid of the ‘Tom Mix’ look, cut off chaps, added some cavalry carbines and painted them shades of grey. Looks like I got me the Josey Wales!  Thanks for looking.100_4986

A brilliant re-creation of a Civil War raid scene. I especially like the use of the Union falling rider positioned on an upright horse, and the oncoming Confederate cavalry charging at full gallop, while the front rank of the Union defenders are all in hesitant, reeling disarray.
