Ideal Circus

CS Asko is looking for information on the Ideal Circus set. The figures match in size with Marx 45mm circus figures used in the Super Circus and Big Top playsets.  I told CS that I have not come across these figures in my searching Can anyone give any information on these figures?

CS is curious on the contents of the Ideal Circus. How many figures, animals etc. would be appreciated also do you know when the set came out?

I don’t know about the manufacture date. There is a photo of it on page 23 of issue no. 12 of Plastic Figure & Playset Collector. It contains 23 65mm hard plastic figures in blue, 2 horses in brown, 2 elephants in white and related accessories such as ladders, diving platform, trapeze wire, etc. The box is printed in red, blue, and yellow. Sometimes the colors of the animals are reversed.

Also, a color photo is shown on page 21 of issue no. 64 of Playset Magazine.

Sorry I’m a bit confused. IDEAL figures are 65 mm!?; so they are not same as Marx in scale right!?And as far I can see from these two on pic they are super detail compared to Marx!

I have them in hand, 45mm, like Marx. If there are 65, these would be different, Certainly many Marx figures were done like that, scaling up, or down, but not familiar enough with the Ideal figures to say. Again, the ones I picked up, and the ones Paul, is referring to are 45mm.
