Chiller Show October 2022 Enjoyable Fun Day, is a show that Laurie and I loved to go to over the years. For various reasons, we had not gone for a number of years. This year I decided to go.
Chiller Show October 2022 Introduction
This year I wanted to go over to Chiller as one of my old friends Daniel Roebuck was going to be there. Dan has been in numerous movies and television shows including U.S.Marshalls and Matlock. I know Dan from when he worked in a local comic book shop. The problem I had was I was afraid that my walking and standing would not allow me to take the rigors of the show. Fortunately, Sparky’s dog walker Sherri Wilder is a big fan of Dan’s and she never had met him. I offered to pay her way in if she would push me around in a wheelchair. She agreed and we set up to go to the show.We left early on Saturday and got there for the early bird entrance. Once we got our tickets we started around the rooms. Chiller is mainly a show with various people from movies and television who for a price you can get an autograph and photo with them. Some of the people were set up others did not come to the show much later. After checking out the vendor’s area where I got a nice 3-inch 3D figure of Nosferatu we head to Dan’s room. As soon as Dan saw us we were warmly greeted. I got from Dan two Rob Zombie Munster toys a puzzle and a pinball game. Sherri got a signed photo from Dan and we both got our picture with us. Dan also introduces us to Richard Brake and Jeff Philips who were in the Munsters movie. Dan also introduces us to Tammy his third wife. After talking a bit we left Dan and headed out to see other people.
Robert John Burke
We went around the show looking at the other guests. Some of the guests like Cheech Martin and Genie Nolan had lines. I had hoped to get Darryl Philips from NCIS New Orleans but he was not at his table while we were there. Likewise, I want to reconnect with another old friend Marcus Boas who was not set up. Sherri saw that Robert John Burke had a spot. she knew him from Law and Order Special Victims Unit. Robert had also been RoboCop in Robocop 3. He was very nice and kind. Also, he is a dog lover and I had to show him photos of the boys. I asked him how long it took him to get into the Robocop suit. He said not long as the guys had power tools to put it on the makeup took three hours. If I had known he had been in Tombstone I would have asked him about that movie. Sherri got his photograph and an autograph.
After being with Robert John Burke we decided to call it a day and went back to see Dan and say our goodbyes. Sherri had a great day as she never had done something like this before. I was glad as I got out and also see someone experience something new.
Final Thoughts
I was glad I did it as it got me out of the rut. I also got to see what is going on in this aspect of the hobby. Prices for autographs and photographs had gone up from $25.00 to $40.00 each. While I was waiting for Sherri to get the car I overheard this conversation from a young man behind me. He was asking his mother to pay for an Uber to take him home and get a poster he wanted to get signed by some rock star.
A note Corbin my Jack Russel is rehomed as he was too active for me. He is with a young couple who have another dog and cat. I have visited him.

I did it was fun to see some ways Chiller was the same and others not. It was something different for me, after all, I had been through this year.
