Health Update
I just wanted to give a short update on my health. In August I had to have my heart shocked to get it back into sync. I have had Ab Fib for the last five years this first time I had to have this procedure for my condition. The procedure takes about an hour. So far I feel fine but will know more next week.
Another item I have under control is my diabetes. When I was admitted to the hospital It was 258. It is usually around 120.
The walking is better but I still have a major problem with my right knee. My knee has arthritis and I am due to do therapy. This pain does not allow me to walk long distances. It affects my attending shows. I am going to Chiller, but I am going to use a wheelchair to play it safe due to its size. As for other shows yet this year, I will have to see how I feel.
I hope your health continues to improve. My doctor told me that as we age we must pay better attention to our own health, make good choices, etc. He said “Don’t let the wheels fall off”.
Our grandkids love Kindereggs but I have no idea what becomes of the toys inside once they have them, most likely lost or tossed.
Thanks for the update. Sorry to hear you’re having a hard time. As the man said, “Growing old isn’t for sissies.” I never really thought of myself as being old – then the Lymphoma hit and I realize I’m the same age as all those “old folks.” Thankfully, I’m over the lymphoma (still doing the “post-chemo chemo” to keep it from coming back) but it will be awhile before I run a marathon (LOL). Take it easy on yourself, buddy – remember there are a lot of us pulling for you out here.
I feel your pain Stad. I spent a week in the hospital March 2018 with congestive heat failure and AFIB and then my knees retired so I roll around my house on an office chair. One tip I can give is to buy clear dual wheel rubber wheels for your office chair so you don’t chew up your floor like I did.
Paul you seem to be progressing nicely but still have some limitations .Glad you are doing better thank back in august. Keep up the good work.
