Plastic Figure Showcase Interesting Items

Plastic Figure Showcase Interesting Items, I have gone back into the collection to show some items. I will show some old items and newer items.

Plastic Figure Showcase Interesting Old Items

Plastic Figure Showcase Interesting Marx
As a child, these two figures were part of my armies I would set up for my battles. Sometimes as friends other times as enemies. At the time, I did not know who made the figures. It was later I found that they were made by Timmee and Marx. Looking at them now I realize the rifles are wrong. Still, I would use them in my battles if I had time.
Plastic Figure Showcase Interesting Mountie
The Dulcop Mountie came into my collection when Dulcop came available back in the late ’80s. I found the figure odd of a mountie having two pistols. The Mountie only carried one pistol. I wonder if the sculptor copied the Marx cowboy with two pistols. what do you think?
Plastic Figure Showcase Interesting cavalry
I believe that this figure came through a junk lot. It is a copy of an Elastolin or other swoppet figure. The maker made the body one color with the head in the flesh.

Newer Additions to the Collection

Plastic Figure Showcase Interesting Pirate
These figures came in a recent junk lot. The pirate on the right came from a set of pirates from China. According to Erwin, the pirate is one of a set of eight which were sold as cake toppers.
The figure on the right is a British 8th Army grenade thrower, I do not who it is copied from, do you?
Plastic Figure Showcase Interesting Lafredo
Lafredo from Spain copied some of Elastolin’s poses. in this case, they copy Elastolin Sir Gawain pose # 8802 from Elastoloin Hausser catalog to be made as King Richard I. Just that Lafredo reverse the arms position
Reamsa did pose like Elastolin but not identical. I seem to get this pose missing part of his scabbard.

The RCM has a very unique pose ,definitely it was intentional made with two revolvers .
The figure itself show one holster yet is giving two identical revolvers .
The pose made had done as that or copy of cowboys .I do not think Marx but rather Dulcop cowboy pose with two revolvers .
    best

Has anyone bought the CTS Korean war us marines as some of them seem to have out of scale weapons from pictures I have seen. If anyone can let me know if this is right as I am thinking of buying a couple of sets.

I bought two sets and have mixed feelings about them. If I had it to do over I would have probably only bought one. They’re not really bad, but IMO they’re not compatible with other figures you might want to use them with. And some of the weapons do look large. It’s a personal choice.

I imagine the guy with baseball gloves holding the super 45 is the worst .I was surprise seen last CTS set previews were much better than early CTS that they come with these like that last .Luckily I did not bough them.
Too bad as they were suppose to be a very nice wanted set .

I think the cheapo made in China grenade thrower is an original (horrible) sculpt.

    • BRIAN says:

Looks like he could have been meant to be a 1930s Nationalist Chinese soldier?

      • ERWIN SELL says:

Could be; but he looks like have a worker construction hat .Ugly guy ….what i don’t get it is from which pose brand they copied it, generally they copied either airfix or matchbox or mix both ..
