Igor Basevich has released information on his next set of World War One Mounted Cossacks. the set has four different mounted figures.

Igor wrote the following about the set. In the Russian Empire, this date was traditionally celebrated by the Cossacks of the Don, Terek, and Kuban Cossack troops as the day of remembrance of the ancestors of the Cossacks who fell for their Homeland.
Mounted with sword out
Memorial day is erected to the date of the battle of Leipzig, in which the lifeguards’ Cossack regiment participated and for which it received the St. George standard with the inscription: “For distinction in the defeat and expulsion of the enemy from the borders of Russia in 1812 and for the feat rendered in the battle of Leipzig on October 4, 1813 
With Lance
There are four different figures. They are as follows:
1. With sword out forward.
2. Mounted with Lance up

3. Sword overhead
4. Mounted with sword back.
Sword is back
These figures are a welcome addition to the WWI Russian side. Armies in Plastic has also done a World War One set of mounted Cossacks. That set has five figures with an officer and four mounted soldiers with swords. Igor has not stated when this set will be released. As soon as we get word we will pass it along. Also, at least one color will be blue for the Cossacks.

In a recent post, George Albany told us about two damaged Beton Figures he got in a lot. George has sent a photo of what he has done with these two figures. Here is what he said. In case you’ve been losing sleep wondering how my work on the Beron figures turned out, see attached.   Tried to make the bases busy enough to draw attention away from the washers but not away from the figures.

    Hi Paul. Interesting set. Are all the horses 1 pose? Be nice to get just the horses, being I don’t collect russians. They resemble Reamsa a little.

    I like the figures could mix blend with AIP and made large cossack/cavalry set x wars from Crimean till WW1 Wwil minor conversion cuts..
